Dear Mr. Johnson:
We have received your letter about BISODOL which by the way,
has been marketed for less than 50 years.
Bisodol Powder which was introduced in 1927 contains sodium
bicarbonate and magnesium carbonate. Bisodol Tablets, which
were introduced in 1938, contain calcium carbonate and
magnesium hydroxide.
Since the publication of rules and regulations for antacid
products for over-the-counter use in the Federal Register,
June 4, 1974, the formulations of all antacids have been
modified as necessary to conform to these regulations.
Thank you for your letter. We appreciate your interest in
Bisodol and in our company.
Sincerely,
WHITEHALL LABORATORIES
