This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of November, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [569].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before, [569]. Now, we find there are changes in the physical forces of the body at the present from that as we have had before. Some conditions are accentuated through the reflex of nerves as are under strain throughout the system, while the general physical condition shows improvement from that as we have had before.
2. That as is seen for the sensory or sympathetic system - for the retraction is produced more through the reaction in sympathetics to the sensory organism - hence the condition as is produced with the eyes, as WELL as that accentuation in the gathering of the glands and their reaction, which is a branch of the same sympathetic nerve supply. This should only be a matter of time until the system would adjust itself, and with the addition of those vibrations from the [Radium Appliance - she had just gotten new one] appliance over the eyes, and the cleansing of the system with those of the nature that keeps nearer alkaline reaction, will be the better conditions for the body, with the general relaxing so that the retraction does not centralize more than ordinary under such distresses or stresses. These would be found by the gentle (not too deep, but gentle) manipulation over the centers, especially of the central nerve system, radiating especially from the brachial centers - through which this retraction comes - to those of the auditory and to the central section in the upper cervicals to that of the hypogastric and pneumogastric reflex to brain. These will bring the better and nearer normal action for the body. Using the appliance only three to five minutes each day over the eyes, should bring this in the nominal force in three to five days. The manipulations should be from five to ten days. The reaction through the minimizing of acid forces in the elimination should be three to five days.
3. (Q) How long, approximately, will it take the system to adjust itself?
   (A) Three to five, to ten days. Better that those of the new appliance be used over eyes than from body reactions, see?
4. (Q) Any special treatment to relieve the condition in the right arm?
   (A) From this radiation is that retraction as is being produced in the system. In the right arm, or from the ulna nerve center, which radiates to the brachial plexus and with the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus in the 3rd and 4th ganglion in the cervical centers. THESE are sympathetic to the condition as existent. Hence retraction, rather than disability through the action of the condition, see? These merely add, then (the condition in arm, or the reaction in nerve system), to a condition already existent, and accentuating same at the present time through retraction, or the system attempting to adjust itself. Hence that given for vibratory forces and for the eliminations for used forces, as well as the manipulation to distribute, rather than localize, the condition.
5. (Q) Would Milk of Magnesia or Oil be the better eliminant?
   (A) That of agar and oil [Petrolagar] be better. The alkaline. We are through with this reading.
