This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of August, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [573], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. Now as we find, conditions are not so good - even as when we last had same here.
4. Still, the body is active and there are the abilities for recuperative forces; but the body overtaxes itself after attempting to follow the suggestions that have been indicated.
5. This is tending to work rather a hardship upon the body, rather than being of the aid as it should.
6. There should be sufficient of the colonics, and these should not be attempted to be given only by self, but so that there may be the eliminating of the mucous that is an accumulation that causes the greater trouble with the heart's activity, the shortness of breath, and the inability for the assimilating of foods.
7. If this is done, and sufficient rest taken after the deep manipulations, we will find better results.
8. The manipulations have been very well done, but more particular interest should be given to the EMPTYING of the alimentary canal. Hence the pressures made, in making the adjustments, upon the 5th and 6th dorsal with the lumbar axis, will be found to relax this body the better.
9. These given about twice a week would be sufficient, if the colonics are done properly. But rest at least an hour to two hours after the manipulations or corrections are made.
10. The corrections should be made in the areas indicated, and then the coordinating of same with the activity of those portions of the organs affected, - that is, the sensory system, - or the cerebrospinal system.
11. Then adhere more consistently to the diet.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Should colonics be continued every third day?
    (A) As has been indicated, these should be continued; not so much just to empty a portion of the colon, - they should be rather farther apart but given in a manner that there may be seen as to the character of the fecal forces that are eliminated from the system. And use plenty of an intestinal antiseptic in the last waters.
14. (Q) Do I need to take any more Atomidine?
    (A) Rather leave this off at the present.
15. (Q) Why do my eyes get so dim and I have a falling feeling at times?
    (A) This is, as indicated, the lack of eliminating the poisons from the system.
    Hence the corrections osteopathically that should be made in the areas indicated, and then the coordinating of same with the activity of those portions of the organs, or the cerebrospinal system, that affect the organs of the sensory system.
    Do as indicated.
