This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of August, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [578], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Some changes in the general reactions throughout this body. Many of these are changes that will make for eventual activities in the system that will be for the betterment of the whole body, mentally and physically.
2. There are disturbances from a congestion that affects the sympathetic nerve forces through the secondary cardiac plexus, that makes for some nausea, achings in the head, fullness through the face, nasal cavities, the antrum, and these portions of the slowed circulation through this portion of the system.
3. There should be taken either two or three osteopathic adjustment treatments for this, or eight to ten DEEP manipulations with the electrically driven vibrator, in the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area. This will so STIMULATE the increase of the circulation that with the use of an antiseptic in the throat and head these conditions will be removed.
4. The antiseptic we would use in a spray (such as the DeVilbiss) would be composed of the following ingredients, but when ready to be used in the spray add twice the quantity of distilled water:

   Alcohol 85% (not 190 but 85)...........2 ounces,
Oil of Eucalyptol.....................20 minims,
Benzosol in solution..................10 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp..................3 minims,
Tincture of Benzoin...................10 minims,
Tolu in solution......................20 minims.

   When used in the spray, add twice the quantity of the distilled water to the portion of the above solution that would be used, see? But use full strength as an inhalant for the throat; only diluting in the manner given when used in spray.
5. Of evenings before retiring we would also find it helpful to take a sitz (?) bath, rubbing especially the lower limbs and the feet, for the circulation to be changed.
6. Be mindful that the diet is kept in such a manner as to supply nerve and blood energy, or alkalin; with the protein excess yet these of such natures that they are well balanced in the vitamins for the body - especially in Vitamin A and E.

8. (Q) Does the body have any organic heart trouble?
   (A) No. As indicated, the conditions in the system are sympathetic to the secondary cardiac. The cardiac IS heart, or the areas where the impulses for the pulsation are - and the activity with the hepatic circulation to the cardiac forces. These are secondary natures no organic heart disorder.
9. (Q) What can I do to relieve myself of the feeling in the dark of something near, which prevents normal sleep?
   (A) Surround self in thought with that which may be near in every activity that can only be helpful, sustaining; maintaining such an attitude through the mental and imaginative forces will overcome these conditions.
10. (Q) Regarding the soul that desires to be born through me [See Life Rdg. 578-2 on 6/09/34], and all connecting influences, just when should conception take place?
    (A) When the body physically is in attune or accord with that, when it feels PHYSICALLY fit for those influences that may appear to the body. For if the attitude is held as has been indicated, for those influences that are to surround the body, it will be KNOWN! [See 578-5, Par. 21-A.]
    DO that. It's worth while!
