This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of September, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [578], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [578] and Mrs. [1079].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [578]; this we have had before.
2. In some respects we find conditions much improved, and in others we find conditions have been retarded and are not as efficient as they should be in the reactions in the system. These particularly do we find in relationship to the pressures in the nerve system and their reaction upon the sensory organism.
3. The adjustments have NOT been made, NOR the coordination of the adjustments in the various portions of the system as HAS been indicated for the body. For not only should there be a relieving of those tensions in the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area but, as has been indicated, there should be the corrections in the lumbar and sacral and coccyx area - for these pressures NOW produce upon the nerve system GREATER strains than has been indicated heretofore in those portions of the body.
4. Unless there is a change in the manipulations, by the one administering same, we would change from that one making the administrations; and have those corrections made as has been indicated. For not only will the removal of these pressures bring about a better normal condition, and closer relationship between the emotions and the nerve system and the activity to the organs of the body, but we will find better assimilations, the body would put on more weight, the body would be hungrier, the body would not tire so easily, the body would not find the pains through the head and the neck and those through even the lower portion of the abdomen that become so severe at times.
5. WE would change then to Crews' reactions and those manipulations and activities; for with these we may have the use of the reactions through the LYMPH PUMP which will for this body be MOST beneficial.
6. Make SPECIFIC adjustments in the coccyx, RAISING the lower end of same. Coordinate this with the 4th lumbar. This GRADUALLY done. Then coordinate same, of course (each time coordinating all of these), with the upper adjustments in the 3rd and 4th dorsal, 3rd and 4th cervical, 1st and 2nd cervical and in the head and neck and the vagus center, but with these adjustments going UP the spine!
7. The next SPECIFIC would be in the 8th and 9th dorsal segment, then coordinating these with the lower portions.
8. Take these twice each week for two or three weeks, leave off two weeks, then take again.
9. These as we find are that necessary the most in the present.
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) Give cause and correction of apparent deafness, and what causes roaring in head.
    (A) Just as has been given. Pressures in the coccyx area, not coordinating with those in the lumbar axis; deflections from the 9th dorsal, or 8th and 9th dorsal, to the axis of the centers in the upper dorsal and cervical that make direct connection with the auditory forces. [12/10/65 GD's note: Mrs. [578] just told me that if she had followed this rdg. she could have avoided much trouble later with deafness, etc., but she was more intent on getting herself in shape to have a baby.]
    Remove these pressures and these conditions will disappear.
12. (Q) What causes breaking out in skin on face and what can be done to correct this?
    (A) The respiratory reactions, or the poor LYMPH circulation from the areas where the nerve pressures in the upper dorsal area coordinate with the respiratory system through a portion of the head. Hence, as has been indicated, the use of the LYMPH PUMP would be MOST beneficial for the body. The treatment with this would be given each time the manipulations or adjustments are made.
    The only one we find that gives this [in this area] is Crews. [Gena Lowndes Crews, D.O.]
13. (Q) What causes the blemish on the left leg and what can be done to correct it?
    (A) This is a superficial reaction, and by the use of the Castor Oil rub may be reduced to very little indication. After this has been used for some weeks, just a little rubbed in each evening, then use Sweet Oil; this will change the whole reaction.
14. (Q) Was the operation in January [Sarah Leigh Hospital, by Dr. Rawls - J. L. Rawls, M.D.?] a help to the body, and just what correction was made?
    (A) The removal of the cyst upon the ovarian reaction has made for better conditions if the pressures are removed so that there are still not those contractions during the periods of gestation for the activity of the organs of the pelvis. [See 578-11, Par. 9-A on 4/16/43.]
15. (Q) Just what can I do to make myself susceptible to pregnancy?
    (A) It will be necessary FIRST that the pressures in those areas, as has been again and again indicated, be removed before there will be the ability for the organs to retain their activity at time of conception.
16. (Q) Is there any special time for me to have this baby?
    (A) Not until these corrections are made and there is a building up of the bodily system itself. Then it would be beneficial. And this should be able to be accomplished by the early portion of the coming year, so that by next Fall there should be a baby.
17. (Q) Any further advice for the body at this time?
    (A) Keep constructive in the thinking. Do not let LITTLE reactions produce animosities.

   (3) For what period of time has the patient followed directions given in the Reading under your care? "6 months that I know of - maybe longer."
   (4) What results have you observed? "Patient still not pregnant - dysmenorrhea cleared up, patient improved generally."
