TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. As we find, many conditions mentally and physically are improved with this body.
4. Now, there needs to be rather precautions and applications for corrective as well as preventative measures, as related to inclinations and disturbances through the body.
5. We find that those conditions formerly described as lymph accumulations show much improvement; though these are finding some expression in what may be termed the hollow portions in the torso. Much of these are the reflex actions in the nervous forces of the body.
6. Hence NOW we would do these:
7. Gradually taper off with the Atomidine; taking now only small quantities periodically, - that is, a few drops during a week and then skip a week. For instance, take one to two drops for two days during a week, then skip a week.
8. But we would use Atomidine douches to remove those tendencies for pressures, and to make for better conditions through the pelvic system. Put a teaspoonful - not even overflowing, but a teaspoonful of the commercial strength Atomidine (not more than this) in a quart and a half of water, not less than that amount. Have the water at least body-temperature, and use only in the Fountain Syringe. Do these douches at least once each month, or oftener if there are irritations.
9. Also, every other day at least, when ready to retire, use the electrically driven vibrator over the spinal system, - this in preference to the violet ray, for this now (the violet ray) would be rather severe. Use the cup applicator, for at least twenty to thirty minutes, in a circular motion down both sides of the spine, and especially across the spine at the area of the diaphragm and at the lumbar axis - or at the top of the hip bones from the back, see?
10. Then in the diet, do not have too much fats, or oils or greasy foods, but those that are wholesome and body-building.
11. Do that.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) What is the best laxative for me to take?
    (A) Senna Leaf Tea.
14. (Q) What causes this condition and what must I do about it, - the waking up in the night and not being able to get enough air, - a smothering feeling?
    (A) The general nervous tension, which will be removed by the vibrator treatments as well as by the cleansing of the pelvic system through the vagina.
15. (Q) Is there a heart condition?
    (A) There's a heart condition, but not a declamatory one or one that is harmful.
16. (Q) What should I do about the pain in chest when I draw a deep breath?
    (A) Do the things as we have indicated. The vibrator treatments below or at the area of the diaphragm from the back, you see, are to relax nerve tensions to such an extent as to remove the pressures on the nerve coordinating areas, and will be helpful in these directions.
    Do as given.
17. (Q) Please tell me what to do in order to put my hair in good condition and prevent falling out?
    (A) Use plain Ivory soap as a shampoo about once a week, following same with a massage of the scalp using a teaspoonful of Olive Oil in which there has been squeezed one drop of lemon juice. Doing this, we will make for a much better condition of the scalp and in a little while - a few weeks, not in the first application of course - we will see a variation in the hair.
18. (Q) Please give me some neck exercises?
    (A) The head and neck exercises are those as ordinarily given; that is, morning and evening being persistent with same, taking the time and not just doing them as something to be gotten through with: Sitting erect (or standing), bow the head forward as far as possible, slowly, three times, and each time raising the head back straight again before bowing, you see - just the head and neck bending. Then turn or drop the head slowly to the right side three times, then to the left. Then bow the head and circle it toward the right and all the way round, then to the left - three times each.
These are the movements that are best for the head and neck, and are helpful to the eyes as well as to throat and nasal passages.
19. (Q) Any further advice?
    (A) Do these things, not just to get them done but be EXPECTANT of helpful results from same. Do ALL - prayerfully.
20. We are through for the present.
[Ques. answered without being asked: Shall I continue taking the Atomidine as directed, or have I taken enough for the time being? Should I go ahead and carry out my last Reading and get the violet ray, in regard to tumorous accumulation?]

(3/01/41 GD's note: Ask for a box of Senna Pods at People's Drug Store. Put five or six pods in a cup and pour boiling water over it, allow to steep as tea - take at bedtime for two or three nights in succession if needed. More or less senna pods may be used, according to the needs.)

BACKGROUND

1. 3/01/41 Questions submitted by phone.

REPORTS

1. 8/05/41 She referred Mr. [2568] for a Physical Rdg.
2. 11/52 Report: "I'd wake up in the night and couldn't breathe very well. Sometimes I'd have to get up and go to the window to get a good breath of air, so I thought there was something wrong with my heart.
"I didn't use the vibrator, had no one to give it to me, couldn't use it on myself.
"I had never used the violet ray which had been previously suggested; no one I knew had one I could borrow, and I couldn't afford to buy one.
"All the other treatments I followed and got good results. I still use the Senna Tea when I need to. Good results were obtained from using the hair treatment, also the head and neck exercises."
