11/06/35 Ltr. from Dr. [
589] to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Edgar:
"I am ashamed at myself for not writing you before now, but
I assure you my good friends there isn't a day goes by but
what I think of you and yours.
"Have been back in North Carolina since the 1st of the year,
located here in ..., and can say have enjoyed a nice
practice, a different type of people altogether then there
was in ..., N.C. We both like it fine.
"I feel sure Dr. [
666] and me good [could?] of made a go in
Dayton, O. if I could of just made him see we would have to
creep before we walked; as if you remember the reading told
us it would be about two years before we could really be
doing things. But he was just too flitty and wanted to go
into it too heavy, to suit me, so I felt the best thing for
me to do was get for myself again. And then at some later
date when conditions warranted it we could have another
reading to find out what would be the best for us to do,
and also if I made a mistake for doing what I did.
"I have a New Fischer X-Ray since the 1st of April, but the
largest picture I can take with it as is is a 14x17. This
coming Saturday I am installing a 14x37 Bucky so I can get
the whole spine, which will be a great help in correcting
rotary scoliosis with this new Basic Technique. I have not
handled one patient without X-Ray pictures, unless its just
for one treatment, but when I get a case regardless of what
it is to handle I insist upon X-Rays, and Edgar I know you
would be surprised to see the corrections and the results
I am getting. I am doing very little of the old horse and
buggy type of Chiropractic, I certainly wish YOU were closer
to ME so I could handle you for a while and straighten that
distorted spine of yours for I know it would mean a lot to
your health for the coming years. When I get a collection
of these 14x36 pictures of before and after, I certainly
am bringing them down to show you just what I am really
doing. Which I hope will be not more than two months from
now.
"I do hope You and all are enjoying the best of HEALTH, when
you find time write me a line."
Sincerely, [
589]

Mr. Edgar Cayce
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Edgar:
"I have a very good friend, Mr. [...], ..., N.C. His home
was broke in the night of April 24th, 1936. There was a
watch, 5 rings and 17 diamonds. I wonder if you would give
a reading on this to see if this stolen goods can be
recovered. If you will do this I assure you it will never go
any farther then Me & Mr. [...].
"Please let me hear from you Edgar, in regards to this at
once."
Sincerely, [

5/04/36 Ltr. from EC to Dr. [
589]:
Dear Mr. [
589]:-
"I have yours of the 29th. I would like very much to be of
help to Mr. [...] if possible, but I do not feel that I have
any right to undertake a work of that kind so long as I'm
trying to give physical and spiritual advice to others. For
I'm sure that the source of such information entangles itself
with quite a different type of consciousness. We have
through the years, of course, undertaken some such, and
peculiarly enough we have had some very (years ago)
interesting information at High Point.
"I'm sorry, but we cannot undertake it.
"I certainly trust that you and Mrs. [
371] are enjoying the
best of health, and that at some time in the near future you
will come this way.
"With kindest personal regards to you both, I am"
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce

eighteen years and a half of marriage, always helping him in
every way she could.
