This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at The Hirn home, 6844 Nansen St., Forest Hills, Long Island, N. Y., this 8th day of November, 1934, in accordance with request made by Mrs. [593], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [591].
2. Conditions have gotten rather serious with this body, through the lack of cooperation in following consistently those applications that have been made. While there have been improvements in some directions, there is again the live activative force of the tubercle in the lungs that produces the temperature in the body.
3. Hence we find there should be used in the present these combinations, in a very heavy manner: (As an inhalant)

   Tincture of Benzoin...........1/4 ounce,
Oil of Eucalyptus.............1/4 ounce,
Rectified Oil of Turp..........20 minims,
Canadian Balsam................10 minims.

   Put this either in the croup cup or in boiling water and inhale deeply; that is, put about a teaspoonful in the boiling water and inhale the fumes, two or three times each day.
4. Also we would inhale the fumes from the apple brandy.
5. And we would continue those stimulations that have been indicated for the areas of the lower portion of the lungs, on the cerebro-spinal system; with also the relaxing in the upper cervical area of the tendons.
6. Do not attempt to OVERFEED the body, but keep the diet MORE to the alkalin; and we will bring the better conditions for the body.
7. The rest of the applications - as in the Calcidin and the other eliminants that have been indicated - should be maintained.
8. And we will seal the lungs such as to produce less and less effectiveness of the tubercle; thus gradually reducing the temperature.
9. Then, if the deep inhalants as given above begins to lose its effectiveness, we would take these properties INTERNALLY in the system - preferably in capsule:
10. To 1 minim (drop) of Honey, add:

    Oil of Eucalyptus...............1 minim,
Rectified Creosote............1/2 minim,
Tincture of Benzoin...........1/2 minim.

    This should be taken in capsule, and will make for the relaxing of the respiratory system and make for the reduction of temperature, but DO NOT take more than one capsule of such each day; for naturally such natures become hard upon the digestive system - but if there will be taken plenty of the Olive Oil and the Saffron tea that we have indicated for the digestion, these will be cared for in this system, [591].

    (You should be able to buy the ingredients separately and add the drops of each one AS given, of the above given dosage to be taken in capsule. Also the inhalant solution may be made up by self and used as given.
    I believe I sent you an Alkalin Reacting diet list for Mr. [591] but if I didn't, you know that the Acid-producing foods are meats, sugars and starches, and he should beware of these - except in such forms as they may have been suggested in his other reading. GD)

2. 11/02/34 Landlady friend Mrs. [593] submitted questions, saying he was better for a while but now in bad shape and not following any of the treatment which had been previously outlined.

REPORTS

1. 3/25/35 Mrs. [593]'s ltr.:
   Birmingham, Ala.
   Mr. Edgar Cayce;
   It has been a very long time since I have written to you... but as the change was so long in really showing up, that I just did not write, but now I can tell you that our friend Mr. [591] is well on the road to recovery, and we are so happy and OH SO THANKFUL to God and you for the wonderful work that you have done for him, he is now able to be up and about, also goes out into the yard and has put on his clothes, and seems to be just like his own dear self, and has lost most of the fear that possessed him.
2. 10/29/35 Mrs. [593]'s ltr.: Mr. [591] is still with us, and in about the same condition. We have tried a new system of treatment for the stomach ailment that afflicted him, and it resulted in much good: he is now able to eat almost anything he wishes, and has no trouble afterward. He still coughs a great deal, and raises considerable mucus, and runs a slight temperature each evening. He was persuaded to try the new Pathoclast treatment by a Dr. Kesslar [A. H. Kesslar, D.C.] who claims to be quite successful in its manipulation, and who offered to treat Mr. [591] without charge, which was very good of him. As yet, we see but little results from the treatment, but perhaps in time, these prayed for results will come. Chronic T.B. in man of Mr. [591]'s age is really hard to overcome, and he thinks it will probably be best to return to Veterans Hospital and remain until it ends one way or another. However, as he has some extra expenses and the Veterans Administration reduces his pension below the point of actual expense when he is hospitalized, he will not go until it seems to be the only thing to do.
3. 11/29/35 Mrs. [593]'s letter: Mr. [591] has been confined to the bed now for four weeks, he is loosing ground very fast, it seems that he just gives way ever so often, and then he is a real care for me...
4. 6/23/37 "Our beloved friend and brother, Mr. [591], went away on Feb. 8th. He suffered so the last few weeks that it was a relief to see him go, and while we miss him so, we are glad that he has gotten out of that body, and know that all is well."
