This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 22nd day of June, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self through Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis, L. B. and Hugh Lynn Cayce.

Time and Place: 3:45 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Oklahoma.
(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes. Had we followed the suggestions that were given, irrespective of the information, we might have conditions quite different.
  2. As it is - it IS.
  3. For those conditions that have been indicated in this body, that was [592] we would find that the use of heat applied through the rectum - in the area of the activities in the prostates - would not only reduce the swelling, the pain, but would destroy those forces that bring ABOUT the FORM of infectious forces that arise from the strains and from the former conditions - and indiscretions - that arise from such conditions.
  4. This would be well to be remembered.
  5. We are through with this reading.

  2. 6/10/34 Wife's ltr.: "He is very weak...he has been having hiccoughs for the last few days. Now, 16 yrs. ago he had the same operation performed for prostate gland, and for the last 4 yrs. it has been coming back on him, and for the last 10 days he has been suffering with a swollen cord. I am putting ice bags on night and day and the swelling don't seem to reduce. I am so worried about the hiccoughs. The doctor gave him some medicine but it don't seem to cure him."
  3. 6/19/34 EC wired Mr. [257] to have Dr. I. Daniel Shorell to arrange Elliott machine treatments to [592].

REPORTS

  1. 7/07/34 Mr. [257]'s ltr.: "I saw the doctor the day you wired, but no one in ... [Okla.] gives the Elliott treatment. He seems to be getting along alright so far."
  2. 7/12/34 Mrs. [325]'s ltr.: "[1565]'s parents are going to live with them as the old man [592] is not able to work any more. He is up and around again."
  3. 11/02/35 Ltr.: "Where is the blood coming from [that passes in the urine], and what is my prospect in regard to my future health... I am supposed to go to the hospital the first of next week."
