TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
2. As we find, while there are great improvements in the general physical forces of the body, there are still those disturbances from which the body finds reactions that become disturbing at times. These are especially as to the organs of the pelvis and the recurrent reaction upon the general nervous system of the body from same.
3. While not too many, not too frequent, we find that it would be well to have a reaction again from the use of the Elliott Appliance or Elliott Machine, that would make for the allaying of - and the removal of - the distressed conditions.
4. And following the application it would be well for a rest period; that is, we would make the applications in this way or manner:
5. Have the Elliott treatment for half an hour every day for a period of a week. Then have a rest period of TWO WEEKS.
6. But during the rest period have the manipulations Osteopathically applied, wherein there may be the relaxing of the centers along the cerebrospinal system and - especially adjustments through the lumbar axis, extending to the feet and to the bursae of the feet, along the iliac, sacral and to the 9th dorsal; coordinating at times, to be sure, the upper dorsal or the brachial centers and the cervical areas with same; setting up drainages. In this way and manner, have these for two weeks, twice a week.
7. Then have another week of the Elliott Appliance.
8. Then have two more weeks of the treatments in this manner by the osteopathic adjustments.
9. Keep the diet in rather a body-building manner, that is well- balanced with the carbohydrates, the starches, the proteins; but rather than these making combinations, alter these so that the greater QUANTITY of carbohydrates would not be taken at the time of the starches - but rather with the proteins; and the starches would not be taken with the proteins, but most of these ALONE.
10. And we would find, by the time of the second period of each of these, the body should be nearer to normal.
11. These will bring about a CORRECTING of the position of the organs of the pelvis, removing those strains upon the limbs and the general circulation will be stimulated to nearer normalcy.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Why do pains recur mostly in lower part of abdomen, kidneys, stomach and sinus region of head, with general fatigue?
    (A) The pressure upon the axis, as indicated, that should be removed by the general manipulations; and which would extend from the lumbar axis to the limbs; and then the coordinating from the brachial center on down, of course, from the upper cervicals will make for a change in the GENERAL circulation through soft tissues of the face.
    Do these things as outlined.
14. (Q) Would conception still be difficult or dangerous?
    (A) Would be; as indicated from those suggestions made to correct the positions.
15. (Q) What causes the gas formation, and how may it be prevented?
    (A) Nervous forces and those reactions from the general conditions; also the manner in which the foods have been combined in the use of same. The changes indicated would be found to be most helpful in these directions.
Of course, keep eliminations; and this may be best done by the use of the food values - or by the use of those that make for the general eliminations, by the treatments as indicated.
16. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

1. See 598-1 on 6/26/34 and subsequent Reports.
2. 1/11/36 Husband [274]'s ltr.: "All symptoms mentioned in my 6/34 ltr. and in your 1st rdg. [598-1] are still present, though the treatments suggested were carefully given. But pains are less acute and their recurrences more apart. They still are from time to time mostly in the lower part of the abdomen, in the kidneys, in the stomach and in the sinus regions of the head, with general fatigue. Why?...what would you suggest in the matters of food, elimination and exercise?"

REPORTS
