This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of May, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [599].

TEXT

1. EC: We have the body here - this we have had before. Now we find there are improvements in the general way, or condition of the physical forces of the body. While there are conditions that bring about some unsatisfactory reactions, these are of a temporary nature, and the system already prepares itself to meet the needs of such conditions. Those as pertain to the vibratory forces to the upper portion of the body, especially centering in the action of the sensory nerve system as related to the eye, ear and nose, still show some aggravations. [Head noises, etc.] Were the proper adjustments made at THIS time, in the upper dorsal and the lower cervical, and the vibratory forces of the battery [Radio-Active] appliance given, we would find a more ready response under the existent conditions.
2. Beware of those things as impressed on the mental attitude of body as respecting digestion; for these are things not to be lightly over-ridden; but the general application of self to such conditions are to respond. Then heed, and not be swayed by others to overload system when it should not be; especially with meats and sugars; for there exists - as has been given for the body - much of that as may be applied from within through the application of self to the psychic or mediumistic forces of the body. Well that these be heeded. Be not unmindful of the voices, nor of the visions as come to the inner self. [See 599-1.] Do not attempt to force such elements; else there is too much of the likelihood of interference from earth forces. Well that the body enter into meditation each evening at a specified time, place, and begin with the 14th chapter of John, and remember these words forward and backward unto the end of the 17th chapter, as has been set out. In THIS association, THIS sphere of communication, may there come none but those that are in accord with the proper and correct development of the inner man; for as this begins, "In my Father's house are many mansions," is spoken of self even as in the end, "Lo, I am with you, even unto the end of the world." Make that presence ever felt within self. No evil may enter. We are through.

1. 6/17/28 "I am getting the adjustments advised in last rdg. for me. I have made some pledges in the past that I could not keep. So I refused to make any to the Association, but decided I would send in what contributions I could, so am enclosing $50 to bldg. fund for whatever the Board decides to use it on. 2. 7/17/28 EC's letter:
   "Work is progressing very nicely. [Cayce Hospital] Little bit slow just at present, as they are putting in the foundation and lower floor, and there's a great deal of concrete work which requires a good deal of attention in getting it laid out properly, but we believe a good showing will be made now very soon.
   "We got some information on the work itself last week end. We feel that you will be very much interested in it, and we are taking the privilege of sending you a copy of same. Will just hope you find the interest and help in it as we feel you will.

3. 8/05/28 "Receive one of these [Form ltr. 7/23/28 see under 550-4 Reports] about once a month. Expect to make another donation this yr. but will make no pledge, as they are sometimes hard to meet when one's income is uncertain...
   "Business is very dull just now in railroad circles. My chiropractor took my case for $60 in advance and is still giving me adjustments daily part of the time and every second day the rest of the time. Am yet using the batteries. Think I am being slowly benefited. Have nothing to report along the spiritual."
4. 9/30/28 "I am glad to announce that I am able to make my final donation for the year - note enclosure.
   "My ears are yet ringing, but I feel that I am improved. The chiropractor has dismissed me just a week ago." [See 599-3 indicating his American Indian incarnation as "Dumb-in-the-ear." Evidently the ears ringing is a karmic condition?]
