This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of January, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [635], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [608]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, there are associations or connections with the present disturbance of that we have had once here before.
4. The acute condition arises from a tendency of a disturbance in the glandular forces, but especially as related to the activity of the gall duct area; and the fever of the nature that arises from the drosses being left in portions of the body arises from same.
5. These as we find may cause a great deal of disturbance unless removed. They naturally upset or affect all of the RELATED activities in the body, - the glands of elimination in kidneys, in the activity of the organs of pelvis, in the lungs even themselves as related to purification of blood stream.
6. In making the applications:
7. First we would apply the Castor Oil Packs for an hour and a half each day for at least two consecutive days. Use at least three thicknesses of flannel thoroughly saturated with Castor Oil, placing same over the liver and the gall duct area. This should be warm and then, after covering to protect bed clothing, apply an electric pad. Let this remain on for at least an hour and a half at the time. Then cleanse off the skin of that area with soda solution. Then the next day apply in the same way and manner. The same oil may be used, if there is sufficient oil in the flannel.
8. Then take a tablespoonful of Fleet's Phospho-Soda. Lie upon the right side afterward, with a pillow or any support under the liver and gall duct area, so as to allow the gall duct to drain, see?
9. Then, after resting some three to four days after this, have the osteopathic adjustments with special reference to draining the gall duct osteopathically. This should be done with care, especially if there are excellent results obtained from the first applications suggested.
10. But do these, if we would set up eliminations and remove the poisons from the body.
11. Only the fruit juices, soups and the like may even be attempted to be taken during the periods of these treatments, or until the osteopathic adjustments are begun.
12. These as we find should keep the body in better conditions.
13. Massage the limbs and the back with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Grain Alcohol (or good Whiskey). Shake them together and massage along the spine, along the limbs. This will rest the body, keep down temperature, and give some body strength.
14. Do that.
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) For the past few months she has been very irregular in her Periods.
    (A) This, as indicated, is part of the general congestion in the body, and we will find when these adjustments are made, when the strength has begun to be renewed, the body will function nearer normal in all directions.
    After this general cleansing, a little Atomidine will be beneficial to the body; this after the series of six or eight osteopathic treatments have been given. Take one drop in half a glass of water each morning for five days (before the morning meal), leave off ten days, and then take again.

She hasn't been well for 2 mos. - has lost weight gradually - she even looks worse than when she had 'Typhus' fever or malarial fever 2 yrs. ago. She has been in bed since Sun., not a high fever - some - 102.6 highest I think - now Dr. says she is subnormal - nauseated all time - eats absolutely nothing - the sight or thought of food nauseates her, and for past 4 mos. has been most irregular in her monthly sickness. We are so uneasy. Would you have time soon for a rdg.?"
