(Q) Just what was the injury, and when, that produced this
condition?
(A) This was an injury to the central portion, or just below
the navel, that injured the body - striking against
something.
After the first twelve to fourteen hours of adding the Castor
Oil packs (bathing the body off after same, as applied), then
we would give more of the general massage over the body; not
heavy. This should be done by the nurse or those in charge,
and especially along the spine, GENTLY. Then rest for a
period, you see; then begin the Castor Oil packs again,
giving them for two or three hours at a time, followed by a
rest period with the massage; then repeat.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
8/03/34 Mr. [
333]'s letter: "...I am sending herewith
application for a Physical Reading, a contact which I have
made through business. Mr. [
668], the father of [
632], seems
very sincere in his desire to secure help. They know nothing
about such work, but they have reached the limit of help they
can secure through physicians..."
8/08/34 [
632]'s father [
668]'s letter: "...We are mostly
interested in knowing whether she will get well and overcome
her present trouble and we are anxious to know just what her
ailment is and just what to do for it..."
8/10/34 A.M. Mr. [
333] phoned to say that little [
632] had
just been brought home from the hospital.
REPORTS
8/12/34 Mr. [
333]'s letter indicated that the parents got
started on the treatment late Saturday P.M.,
8/11/34, with
Mr. [
333]'s help:
"...We found the little girl very sick and in a state of
exhaustion as a result of the X-ray treatments. She is to
have a treatment every day except Sundays for fifteen days,
each treatment lasting fifteen minutes. We feel that this
is quite severe in view of her condition and we want to know
what you think...Of course the child had her first X-ray
treatment just about an hour before you gave the reading last
Friday, and at the time the reading was in progress she was
feeling badly as a result of this. Consequently I felt much
relieved to find that the reading made no objection to these
treatments. Instead, as we read it, there was no objection
made to the work that the doctors are doing, rather there
was approval, and the treatments and prescriptions as given
in the reading were intended as the means of completing or
rounding out the complete program for this body... As we saw
her last evening following the second treatment which had
been given earlier in the day she seemed much exhausted and
at times in what appeared to be a state of coma...
"These people are Roman Catholic though in no sense are they
bigoted and in a matter of this kind they have been frank to
say that they feel our coming to them has been an answer to
their prayers and that the message received from you has come
from God, and they are going to see it through..."
8/21/34 [
632]'s father [
668]'s letter to EC:
"...Enclosed you will find check for $10.00 for a check-up
reading for [
632] and would like to have same take place any
time Saturday after 1:00 P.M. as she will be at home in her
living room.
"She will have her last X-ray treatment on Monday, the 27th
of August and would like to know how to treat this case
further. We have found the patient improving.
"The following are the questions we would like to have
answered. Please describe in detail the condition of this
body to date and the effects from X-ray treatments. Have
they been successful or in any way disastrous? The Park
Davis Ventriculin does not agree with this body as given.
Please give correct information for its use. We could not
locate Armour's Ventriculin under this name. Please give
further information. Please give suggestions for further
treatment of the body at this time. Is it necessary to carry
on with the oil packs or to make any change in the part of
the treatment? Are operative measures necessary for this
body? Is loss in weight any indication of any trouble or
will this body pick up in weight now that X-ray treatments
will be finished. Please describe exact type of X-ray given
in this case. If advisable please give time, date and
description of the accident that caused this trouble with
this body..."

632-2.
10/17/52 Comment by D. H. Fogel, M.D. (Heart Specialist):
"Is this cancer of the stomach? If history shows it's the
kidney affected, it might be Wilms' Tumor - in a child this
age." [GD's note: See
632-5, Par. 30-A, indicating doctors
say a sarcoma growth is attached to left kidney.]
GD's note: Marx Wilms, German surgeon, 1867-1918; Wilms'
tumor (vilms): Embryonal carcinosarcoma of the kidney.
