This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of June, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [635], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [635]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, some of those conditions that have disturbed the body heretofore, and as have been indicated, have localized. And the anxiety that is caused by the manner in which the affectation disturbs the body causes a great deal of the trouble.
3. There must be a dismissal from the mind of this being malignant as yet. And if there will be the application of those things that may be suggested (which will necessitate being considered in a consistent and persistent manner), it will bring relief to the body; and give the opportunity for many years of experience that may be used in a service of helpful hopefulness to many.
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY, through the MANNER of circulation (or the manner of pulsation, if considered from that angle), indicates that there is a slowing up of same to the extremities. Also poisons and accumulations from the poor eliminations, combined with the poor circulation, produce those pressures upon the glands of the breast, the arms, the lungs themselves even. So distress is caused through the portions of the body, especially when the body rests; for THEN there IS the attempt for the circulation to adjust itself to a normal equilibrium. The distentions through the abdomen, the fillings in the stomach, the headaches, all arise from a distorted circulation poisoned by poor eliminations.
5. Thus there is allowed the tendency for the accumulation in the lymph of pockets. And if there are allowed to harden (as in the mammary glands, or in the torso - as about the glands of gestation), they will make for accumulations that will bring about TUMOROUS conditions.
6. But if there will be the proper precautions as to diet, as to activity, with the aiding to the system of those principles and elements necessary to make for a resuscitation and a revivifying or a normal balance in the circulation - also in the eliminations, we may rid the conditions from the system.
7. First, as to the diet now:
8. Be very mindful that there are those tendencies for more and more of an alkalinity kept in the system. No heavy red meats at ANY time. No great amount of starches or pastries; but if these are EVER to be taken, take NOTHING else of a sugar or a starchy nature at the same meal.
9. Make for the better eliminations by the use of Alcaroid, THREE or four times each week, after the meals; with periods of taking the Caroid and bile Salts in conjunction with same.
10. Use the vibrator.
11. Or, better still, have at least six to fifteen thorough, general OSTEOPATHIC massages. Not chiropractic adjustments unless there is the proper massage to make for the coordinating of the various locomotory centers as well as those radial centers from which the cerebrospinal system receives impulse - both sympathetically and cerebrospinally - for the activity of the internal organs as towards the eliminations.
12. Use the Radio-Active Appliance EACH EVENING when the body lies down to rest. This whether it remains an hour (not less than an hour) or three to four hours, will make for an aiding in equalizing that stimulated by the osteopathic adjustments.
13. Keep in the open considerable.
14. Make for a ROUTINE activity in the whole of the housework, of its activities outside, of its associations with others.
15. Do this CONSISTENTLY, persistently, and we will find relief; and CORRECTIONS for those disturbing conditions.

17. (Q) Are my teeth causing any of this trouble?
    (A) A contributory cause. And if ALL of these were removed, it would be BETTER for the body. For while these are a source, they have been rather a reservoir; and make for an adding to the system even when eliminations in many ways are set up.
18. (Q) Should they be taken out right away, or wait?
    (A) Taken out right away; but NOT all at once.
19. (Q) What makes me nervous and restless at night?
    (A) As indicated. It is from the attempts of the circulatory forces of the body adjust themselves to the strains upon the body.
20. (Q) What makes me so cross and irritable at times when I don't know I'm going to be or intend to?
    (A) NERVOUS reactions. As indicated, there is the INCOORDINANT reaction between the sympathetic (or vegetative) nervous forces of the body and the organs of the body itself. And these pressures being upon those portions as indicated in the pelvic organs, in the mammary glands, in most of the nervous CENTERS from which EMOTIONS arise, make for these conditions.
21. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given?
    (A) In the beginning they should be at least twice or three times each week, for the first three or four weeks. Then they may be made ONE a week, provided the body has responded.
    Well that these be taken AT the times or during those periods when the teeth are being removed. These will aid. Also the Radio-Active Appliance will aid in equalizing and making for rest to the body while it is going through this stress and strain.

    (Enclosed was a letter with directions to Osteopath. In the 1933 A.O.S., I find Dr. Louis Miller listed as the only Osteopath in Deland. You might try him.
    Enclosed was a letter to the The Reilly Service with specifications for The Radio-Active Appliance.
    If anything else is not clear, let us know. These treatments may cost you something, but the expense will be spread out and certainly won't be as great as having an operation later - which probably would happen if these are not followed. Besides, an operation would only remove the condition after it had become localized and not get at the cause at all. Those lymph pockets would keep forming in different parts of the body, unless the condition is entirely eliminated from the system - the cause I mean; and it can be done, for I'VE DONE IT - in my own body - through following the readings. It took about two years of a strict diet and the following of the simple treatments the readings indicated, but the condition is completely removed - and no operation either! So, be sure you DO these; I speak from experience. Love. Let use hear from you. GD.

REPORTS

1. 7/06/35 "I'm having my upper teeth out today - Ugh! Have taken medicines and some treatments. Dr. Louis Miller is here no more, but am getting what I can - the Appliance from Radio City, N.Y., I haven't heard from yet - will soon, I suppose - and my diet. I was feeling so much better until last night we had company and I ate something wrong - my stomach hurt all night and was nervous - maybe the thoughts of this teeth business is helping out with the nervousness."
2. 10/05/35 "I had my upper teeth out in July when I wrote you. As you maybe don't know I had impression made before they were taken out and immediately after they were out plate put in - I mean 5-10 minutes after. Now - maybe none of my family know - there was a growth about size of pea right under upper lip where lip under nose joins gum. This little growth came out and ended in a little white gristle-looking end. As far as I know it has been there all my life - never gave any thought to it, yet every dentist who has attended my teeth has noticed it. That's all. When Dr. Bow took my teeth out he cut that end (white gristle) off - I didn't know it until next time I went for him to see gums - which was 2 days later - then didn't think anything of it.
   "Days went by, me wrestling with that plate - after several days - two weeks, maybe - I noticed nowhere hurt on gum except right under lip, under nose. I took plate out and looked at gum - that growth was larger and had, and has yet, a sore on lip that touches growth. I immediately commenced to try to heal - whether I didn't do right thing or plate kept place irritated or just what I don't know. In meantime Dr. Bow went away for vacation - was gone a month or five weeks. All that time growth didn't grow much but sore did not heal. Three weeks ago I went for first time to Dr. Bow - he said to use an astringent - however, I have never used anything since first 3-4 weeks, maybe little longer - Listerine first, since nothing but salt and soda in hot water. Dr. Bow cut down plate a little more to keep from growth, but now is the awful part to me I went back to him this morning and growth seems larger and quite sore to me - no pain - just a kind of drawing and itchy feeling around nose. He says that growth must be cut off. I'm scared - scared to a nervous chill, 'most - although he says he can do it and it will not amount to anything. Is he right? please advise me I'm sick through and through over it, yet I don't want to be silly or worry [2809] and [608] with it. Please tell me what to do."
