1/05/35 "I took about a 2 wks. vacation between prescriptions
during the holidays and have just begun on a new prescription
of the Toris Compound, having it made up with the
Sarsaparilla, which is the way it has all been made up with
the exception of one prescription [which she had the druggist
leave out because the rdg. did not specifically mention
it]...
"I don't seem to be able to get rid of my aches and pains all
over my body, first one place and then another - so much in
my back and shoulders and in my knee and elbow joints, and
the dull, heavy ache in the back of my neck and head. The
bad taste in my mouth at night and dryness is much worse
while I am taking the Toris Compound than when I am not.
"I am sure the rdg. given for me is correct and that it is
all just lack of elimination of poisons in the system - that
my elimination in all ways is not what it should be.
"At times it seems I am much better, then at other times I do
not know that I am. The last wk. the aches and pains have
been more constant in back, shoulders, arms and legs.
"I believe in depending upon and looking to the Great
Physician for health and supply and feel sure in carrying out
your prescriptions, which I believe come from the 'One
Source', both Mr. [
550] and myself will overcome our
troubles, physically and financially, in God's own good way,
if we keep doing our best each day, and it seems to me your
rdgs. for us are one of God's ways for us."
3/21/35 "I notice in your 3/35 Bulletin under 'Health Hints'
you say [
567-7, Par. 13-A in re apple diet to cleanse
poisons]... Will you kindly advise me what the Jenneting
variety apples are, where they grow and where they can be
purchased." [
4/23/35 EC wrote that he had made some
inquiries and thought it was the same variety as Delicious,
Arkansas Black, and the Russet, "and there is one, of course,
called the original Jenneting. Haven't tried this out myself
as yet but as I usually do am going to try it, for would
never want to be the means of giving something for someone
that I wouldn't try myself."]
5/06/35 "I appreciate your reply to my letter relative to the
Jenneting variety of apple. We have the Delicious Apple in
our markets now but guess the time is about up for them...if
you find out any other apple that is of that variety and
would do to use in the way prescribed, would you kindly
advise me?
"As to myself, my teeth got to feeling so badly that I had to
go to a dentist and a test proved them all to be in very bad
condition and I am now having them all taken out. When I am
all through with this ordeal I have a feeling I want to try
the apple and olive oil prescription to help matters along.
Suspect by that time it will be too late to still get the
Delicious, and I wouldn't know what apple to try and don't
know where to find out." [
5/06/35, Perhaps at the same time
she was writing the above letter, EC asked in his own Ck.
Physical if it would be well for him to go on the apple diet
for 3 days and was told yes. See
294-182, Par. 10-A giving
names of the apples.]
6/17/35 "I am recovering from the shock to my system of
having all my teeth extracted and I will soon feel able to
try the apple diet to help eliminate the poison in my body. I
have a desire to try it."
7/12/35 "I will not be able to try the apple diet until fall
and the new apples are in. The only apples now on the Fla.
market are the Winesaps and Yellow Newton... I am very
disappointed, as I especially wanted to try it at this time."
3/10/36 "I have only just been able to try it on account of
condition of my gums. It seems very cleansing and I think I
would like to try it several more times, about once a month.
I could only eat three large Delicious apples a day."
4/19/36 "I have been taking the apple diet [as in
567-7, Par.
13-A] once a month for three months; I think it a splendid
thing and I get along with it very well with the exception
that the olive oil makes me so sick at my stomach. I am
wondering how it would do to take it every two weeks for one
day and a half with 1/4 glass of oil? Maybe that amount of
oil wouldn't affect me so badly. Mr. [
550] took it the last
time I did but the oil didn't make him sick. I believe you
wrote once that you had taken the diet for half the time
prescribed and would like to ask if you used half the amount
of oil in doing so."
5/06/36 EC's reply: "Perhaps you take too much of the olive
oil with your apple diet. I only took half a teacup - that,
it seems to me, is less than the glass, isn't it? Have found
excellent results with only a day of the diet, and decreasing
the oil according to the days taken. Try that and see if you
do not have good results."
7/06/36 Husband [
550]'s ltr.: I should like very much if you
will make an appointment for a reading for Mrs. [
639]. Any
time, with the possible exception of next Thursday the 16th.
Mrs. [
639] to be at our home in...
For some time Mrs. [
639] has not been at all well. A year
ago last May she had all her teeth removed and the reaction
was bad. Her gums refused to heal and set of teeth was not
made for her for some eight months, and only then because it
was necessary for her to have them. Gums are not as yet
ready for a more permanent set and more than likely will
not be for another six months or more.
We have gone through a very trying time for several years and
that has not been good for her. After teeth were removed I
begin giving her as much nourishing food as possible and she
has been under the doctors care for the entire period.
Recently had her to a different local physician and his
examination resulted in orders to have proper appliances made
for her feet. This has been done by a foot specialist in
Tampa and she is now wearing these appliances and special
shoes.
Last March she had a fall which was quite severe. Following
this fall she was treated by an osteopath [Thomas G. Seay,
D.O.?] who found two or three of the vertebra out of place.
This was corrected but more especially since this fall she
has had severe pains in the back as well as pains over the
entire body. Part of these pains were more than likely
caused from condition of her feet and from toxic poisons.
Her nerves have been in bad shape and possibly worse at this
time.
Last Tuesday on our return from Tampa had her go to bed and
employed a practical nurse who takes entire charge of the
house and looks after her needs. She is extremely weak and
has peculiar feelings or sensations in her arms and chest, a
feeling that she cannot describe. I am under the impression
that the fall is accountable for much of her condition for
before the fall she was improving and had put on about twenty
pounds of weight, from 112 to 132. Her doctor was of the
opinion she had put on too much weight and said the flesh was
not healthy and in his treatment attempted and is reducing
her some seven pounds. Her diet is mostly vegetables and
fruits and milk, no eggs and a very limited amount of meat.
I feel that a reading from you would be very helpful and
while finances are at a low ebb, due to the fact that I have
been to much expense both for her and myself, I feel the
necessity of your help and will some time later send an
offering.
