This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 31st day of August, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [646], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [601].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [646].
2. Now, as we find, conditions physical in the body are disturbed by some specific conditions that exist in the body. These, as we find, have been gradually builded into the general physical forces of the body; and the effects are not often considered as the result of such conditions.
3. These affectations in the extremities, and those conditions that arise from the torpidity of the liver, the sluggishness in the circulation, are connected very definitely; but one is a SYMPATHETIC condition from the other.
4. But, with the proper corrections or adjustments, we find that these will gradually be relieved; with the relief of the pressure in the lumbar that has made for the slowing up of circulation in the locomotories, then with local application also to the burses of the feet, and with local application for the secretions in the digestive area we will find these conditions being made to coordinate again; coordinating other centers in the cerebrospinal system from which there is the radial axes of the various portions of the organs - and those affectations that come from the subluxations that exist in the 4th lumbar, the 11th and 12th dorsal. Then coordinating the 3rd and 4th dorsal and the whole of the cervical area WITH the conditions that have been corrected in the lower portion of body.
5. Naturally, the taking of various characters of cathartics will make for a temporary relief; but with the corrections in the body all portions in the extremities will be brought - as it were - the more perfectly in contact and coordination with the circulation from the torso and the body. Of course, with such corrections there will be necessitated the massage for the coordination of the activities through the knees, feet, burses of the feet - particularly the arches, and the circulation.
6. In the activities we find a disturbed circulation from the reflexes from these conditions that have gradually been brought about, producing torpidity then, making for a poor and poorer circulation, so that the body attempting to adjust itself suffers from tired, achey, sweaty feet at times and to others cold, clammy, and pains through the feet, the knees, the hips, pains in the head and from the torpidity of the system, and the general activities of a disturbed circulation throughout.
7. These corrections, then, would be made osteopathically, by adjustments.
8. And we would take into the system the Crazy Water Crystals, a heaping teaspoonful in a glass of hot water each morning for a period of six to ten days; then a rest period of three to four days, then another period of taking the Crystals each day for six to ten days.
9. The adjustments and the corrections in the cerebrospinal system will relieve those conditions in the extremities, the torpidity of the liver, the better circulation through the head, those irritations that have appeared at times in various portions of the body - the hearing, the feeling, the activities of all the sensory system; and food itself will taste entirely different to the body.
10. It may be necessary at times even to STRAP portions of the limbs with the heavy adhesive, but this would not be of long duration or period.
11. But follow these, being mindful that the diet is made more of the alkalin nature in its reaction; whether in fruits, vegetables or meats, make a well-balanced diet - but take those that are of the more alkalin reacting.
12. And keep an even mental balance. DON'T worry! It is easy to say "Don't worry," but how may a person prevent it? By keeping control of the mind, not only through the very will of self but by keeping occupied in doing something for others.

14. (Q) The Crazy Crystals should be taken early of mornings?
    (A) Should be taken before breakfast, in hot water.
    Follow these suggestions, and - as we find, we will bring to this body a near normal condition.

1. 9/06/34 Miss [480]'s letter: "We are so pleased with Mrs. [646]'s reading. I'm sure she will soon be on the road to recovery."
2. 9/11/34 Mrs. [601]'s letter: "Mrs. [646]'s rdg. was interesting because no physician attributed the pain in her feet to a liver condition. She has begun taking the Crazy Water Crystals and is beginning the osteopathic treatments today. This will be a worth while experience, as Mrs. [646] is a very dear friend of mine and rather difficult to convince her to seek help through you, in spite of the fact that she has been suffering for years without being able to get any relief.
   "I am finishing this letter after returning from the osteopath with Mrs. [646]. Dr. Snedeker [O. O. Snedeker, D.O.] is ill and his assistant, a Dr. Rinefort [Harry E. Rinefort, D.O.] is taking care of his patients. Certain parts of Mrs. [646]'s reading are not very clear to him and would appreciate a more definite explanation of the part recommending strapping with adhesive. What parts are to be strapped? When and for how long a period? How often should the osteopathic treatments be given, also for about how long should they be continued?"
