10/14/37 EC's letter:
Dear [
715]:
Sorry to hear you are not feeling so good, but glad to hear
from you. Guess it is like have told some of my sisters
possibly a good thing that I may be good for something,
else would never hear from some of my people whom I think
so much of.
[
715], would begin again with the inhalant, the brandy,
also would have this prepared. You may have had this or may
have had it in some modified form but get it like this this
time.
To 4 oz. of grain alcohol add,
Oil of Eucalyptus..............20 drops,
Oil of Turp....................10 drops,
Tincture of Benzoin............10 drops,
Rectified Creosote..............5 drops,
Tolu in solution...............30 drops.
Put this in container about six oz. bottle with screw top.
Shake together before you inhale deep into the lungs like
you would inhale a cigaret - just the fumes that arise from
the bottle. Possibly you have had this.
Also make a compound of this: Mutton tallow, dissolved -
two tablespoonsful. Spirits of Turpentine - two
tablespoonsful. Spirits of Camphor - two tablespoonful. Rub
this over the area where it is sore, then put a hot pad
on same, like an electric pad. Think with these you should
feel a whole lot better. Use the inhalant from bottle two
three times each day, also from the brand, and the other
rub and hot pad every night at least. And if you have to
use during the night, do so. Keep the eliminations alright,
and be careful of your diet, use such as has been suggested.
And if you are not feeling better soon be sure and let me
hear from you. Know am always glad to try and help. Yes,
think would be better would you let me hear from you oftener.
Be sure and let me know how you come along. Would make
appointment for reading but would have to be a week or more
off. Start the suggestions above at once. Take care of
your self, keep feet dry and warm.
With love, your Cousin, Edgar Cayce
10/17/37 She thanked EC, saying she was doing as he
