(Q) Does she require special shoes?
(A) This, of course, depends upon how much activity there
is to be had. As we find in the present, no. When there is
the beginning of the standing, of the motion of the limbs,
it will. There has been, as indicated here, the necessity
to massage thoroughly - work the feet, the toes, especially
through the ankle, under the knee, along the sciatic center,
WITH the pure olive oil.
Along the spine in the circular motion, either side and down
the spine, use the combination of ingredients as indicated.
Use the Olive Oil along the limbs, the shoulders, out to and
under the arms, the elbows, the wrists, the palms of hands.
And with those properties in the system through the Wet Cell
Appliance, these will tend - with the Radio-Active Appliance
- to create a balance in the system.
Remember this: There was the breaking or burning up, as it
were, of the cellular forces along the ganglia in the spine
and especially along the locomotary centre that prevent the
impulse. As the superficial or the outer circulation and
the deeper circulation are made to coordinate more and more,
there will be sent out from the glands of the system -
through the activities of these vibrations in the body -
the influences that will create and make for the nerve
tendons or nerve tissues themselves. Because these have
been burned or destroyed in a measure, and are now beginning
- as indicated in portions of the body - to show a glow,
when there are the applications or the massages. These will
increase more and more.
Do those things suggested.
(Q) Is the solution of Atomidine suggested just the
commercial strength?
(A) The strength just commercially sold. There will be
required about four ounces, you see; which will last for at
least two periods of recharging of the Appliance. Keep the
connections clear. Make some alterations in same, especially
in that which passes through the solution being of the hollow
lead, and especially in keeping the connections clean.
Better that the plates be changed or altered so they produce
a vacuum under same in contact with the body. These will
carry the vibrations more in a coordinant way and manner.
(Q) Is there anything wrong with the muscles of the stomach?
Are they weak?
(A) They tend naturally to sag, but with the massage along
the spine, you see, this may be extended somewhat - but not
too much. For we would not desire to produce a GROWTH, or
a heaviness here through the muscular forces. Let those
along the spine, either side of the spinal column, DRAW
these to their normal position.
Follow these suggestions and we will find we will continue
to bring help and relief for this body.
Let those that minister know that all healing, all force
and power comes from the Infinite; that these influences
and powers that work in and through them, in making the
application, can, will, through those promises He has given,
manifest health, strength, vitality, for this body.
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
5/14/36 Letter from EC:
Dear Mr. and Mrs. [...]:-
"It was real good to see you good people again, and to see
what I feel is a great improvement with [
735], that is the
most important thing of all. Hope you have had little
or no trouble getting the things lined up for the changes
suggested, and trust that soon you will too note real changes
for the better. [
735] promised to write, should she care to
please let her do so. Will be more than glad to write her.
"With kindest personal regards"
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
5/18/36 Father's Letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce,
"Received your very welcome letter and was glad to hear
from you. No doubt you are at your home in Virginia Beach
for a rest after your stay in New York City. We hope that
you had a pleasant stay and a safe trip home.
"You actually did see an improvement in [
735] which makes
us very happy.
"[
735] promises to write you soon and at this time sends her
best regards. She is a very busy girl having her studies
and exercises to do.
"We have ordered the solution containers but as yet have not
received them, although the ingredients are all ready. Would
you please explain when the Wet Cell Applications are to be
applied, as the Radio Active Appliance is attached at night,
this every other night as the child goes to rest. We have
some difficulty in understanding the Wet Cell Application
due to this fact.
"With best regards to you and yours,"
Sincerely, Mr. [...]
"Kindly accept this little personal donation for your
kindness."
5/23/36 EC's Letter to Mr. [...]:
Dear Mr. [...]:-
"Thanks for yours of the 18th, also for the enclosure. Yes,
we had a very pleasant stay, and hope we did some good, that
is our purpose and a fine trip home, guess I am too much
country to say I really enjoy the city. Been very dry here
and my poor garden looks like a dust heap almost.
"Yes, am sure there was a decided improvement in [
735] since
we last saw her, and hope she will continue now, and very
soon you and Mrs. [...] will see it growing day by day.
Asked Hugh Lynn to inquire about the leads ordered and he
says they were sent you a few days ago, as the company was
held up a bit on material. Hope you have them long since
and that every thing will be working fine real soon.
"The Wet Cell Mr. [...], I should think, would be used of a
morning just after she had had her exercise in the pool, as
she was resting from the exercise. Think that would be the
proper time for it. Try it and will ask the reading to be
more explicit the next time.
"Tell [
735] will be looking for her letter. All here send
love and best wishes to you and yours"
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
11/12/36 EC's ltr. to [
735]'s parents from Kahn home in
Scarsdale, N.Y.:
"We are wondering just how the little lady is progressing,
and if we may see or hear from you while we are here. No
doubt we will be in N.Y. for another week or ten days, so
if you get a chance to come out and see us, it would
certainly be a pleasure.
"Trusting you can see definite progress in [
735]'s condition,
and that we may hear from you, I am"
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC:GD]
12/36 EC rec'd Xmas Card from [
735], via her parents.
1/03/50 Report by Helen M. Wenzel, worker on E.C.F. campaign:
"Called at home, 1/3. Miss [
735] polio case. Does beautiful
paintings and textile designing despite handicap. Parents
said had used the Cayce apparatus recommended in reading,
but not too good results. Are having treatments and art
lessons for [
735] which are very expensive, etc. Will "think
it over" about contributing. Left pledge with them. Present
at time was a Miss [
3286] and her mother (live in Brooklyn).
Miss [
3286] also had a reading. Used the apparatus suggested
by reading. Said she had to wait a year for Check Reading
because of Mr. Cayce's full schedule. Check Reading said she
was using treatment incorrectly. Asked if there was anyone
who could give Check Reading now. Said, 'I knew of none',
tried to get her to contribute to Fund, but she said she
'wasn't ready just now.' However, would consider it when,
as I told her 'someone will come a knockin' at your door.'
H. M. Wenzel
3/30/50 Report by E.C.F. worker H. Wenzel:
"Called at home
3-11. Spoke with Mrs. [...] and [
735].
Mrs. [...] had discussed the matter with Mr. [...]. They
felt that in view of the high cost of [
735]'s treatments and
art courses, they could not contribute anything. Don't think
that they're interested in the Ass'n., and would suggest that
you take their name off the list."
6/52 GD's note: I heard that [
735] was still in wheel chair,
almost totally paralyzed; unable to use left hand at all,
can barely hold brush in right, can't raise arm more than
5-6 inches, but paints beautifully. It seems that shortly
after we last heard from them they began to follow the regime
of the Milton Berry Foundation in Encino, Calif. She can now
sit erect without back straps and braces, and can move around
the house with a pair of specially built crutches and steel
braces, and is still improving. Through the handicap
division of the Board of Education and help of her devoted
parents, she was able to graduate from grammar school,
then high school; now art.
