This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 13th day of September, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [757], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [757], this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, there are distresses at times in portions of the system and anxiety at others that makes disturbing influences in the experience of the body-physical; yet the general physical conditions are very much improved from that as we have had here before.
3. As the general health, as the functioning of the organs specifically, as the circulation and blood stream has been improved, so have the general reactions for those specific conditions and their reactions - as in the cuticle or in the face, and in other portions of the body - been improved.
4. While it is not necessary to adhere so rigidly to the diet, as we find, it would be well to continue in a general way and manner with the proper precautions pertaining to those things that will make and create for the body the better elements, as related to keeping an even balance in the construction and building up of the vitality of the whole system.
5. It would be well that the ash be kept, that there still may be supplied to the organs of the system the better revitalizing forces in the blood stream, through the cleansing of the blood with the oxygens that are increased through the application of the light with the ash in the system, and its reaction.
6. Occasionally it would be well that the Atomidine be taken again, that the glands of the body may be stimulated to their activity and to the correct activity in the eliminations through the activity of same. This we would not take in large doses; only three to five minims once or twice a day for three to five days, then rest for the same period before taking more.
7. We would also keep the activities for the GENERAL actions, or general exercises of the body.
8. The only addition would be that there be massaged over the broken abrasions on the body (as in the cheek, or lip); not over the places but around same, pure oil of the castor bean; or rectified castor oil. This we would do gently but firmly at least once each day, preferably upon retiring.
9. Also we would find it constructive for the general assimilating system to take very small quantities of olive oil internally; much in this manner: One week we would take half a teaspoonful two to three times a day. When there is the regurgitation or belching of same in the system, reduce the quantity but keep on taking. This will be active with the gastro-elements and activities of the digestive system, to keep a better even balance in the body. When this has been taken for four or five days, skip a week; then take very much in the same manner as Atomidine, though taken at the same periods, preferably; though not together, to be sure - one would be taken one time of the day and one another; but the rest periods would be something like the same.

11. (Q) Is the condition improving that causes the sore lip?
    (A) As indicated,the condition is improving. That's from the general activity in the system, and the inability of the body to coordinate in eliminations, see?
12. (Q) How much improvement in the body since last reading, or what improvement?
    (A) About a sixty percent improvement since the last reading.

BACKGROUND

2. 8/08/33 "I have finished the courses of treatment as given in last rdg. [757-4] and would like another rdg. for further instructions. I seem to be quite a bit improved, yet a goodly portion of the condition still remains with me... Is the condition that causes the sore lip improving any, as the lip is still split? What improvement since last rdg.?"

REPORTS

1. 9/26/33 She thanked EC for the rdg., reported on 387-1, and enclosed small contribution.
2. 4/17/34 Ltr. from Mrs. [757] in Palo Alto, to EC: "It has been some time since my last reading Sept. 13 last. I followed it very carefully for about 9 weeks, but seemed to get steadily worse with a severe pain in the region of the kidneys. It got so bad Mr. [...] [my husband] became worried and called a Physician who has treated me every since. I discontinued the treatments of the reading because I thought the two would conflict. I have not improved any and would like to resume the treatments of the reading. But having had so much medication I feel it best to have another reading before starting again. I will be at my home ... Ave. every day until 9 a.m. Pacific Time. These questions I would like to ask: 1. The Ultra Violet Ray seems to cause pain and a congested condition in the chest. Would less be better? 2. The Urethra is badly inflamed and sore. What will relieve it? 3. The bowels move 2-3 times a day; is this good for me or not? 4. Is it the kidneys, or the adrenals that cause the pain in small of back? Also how long should I follow treatment before another reading? Am enclosing small contribution..."
