7/05/30 EC's letter to [
758]'s father, Mr. [
417]:
Mr. [
417]
New York City
My dear Mr. [
417]
Yours of the 25th received in due time, but I keep so
constantly on the go I rarely get to answer my correspondence
as I would like. Rest assured that there's not a day that
goes by that we don't think and speak of you and Mrs. [...].
I certainly did enjoy the little visit I had with you on my
last trip to New York. While I was really in so much pain
most of the evening, I know I wasn't very good company. I
hope you don't hold it against me, for I know you realize
that was the trouble. I've been feeling pretty good, though,
of late, and getting a little exercise now. I've been out on
the golf course a time or two, so - as well as going fishing
- you're going to have to go down on the golf course with me,
if you can get up soon enough. I can't play except very
early in the morning.
[
758] is getting along fine, and we will certainly try and
see that Dr. Lydic looks after the treatments. Of course,
right at the present time he is away - at the convention -
but the young man that is there [J. C. Wigal, D.O.] is FINE,
and he is following the information VERY closely, and I don't
think we will have a re-occurrence of the trouble we had
sometime ago. They made a moving picture of [
758] the other
day, along with some of the rest - and I hope we can show it
to you sometime when you are down.
The weather has been very good. Everything is somewhat in a
state of expectancy, but will work out - I am sure.
With best love to you both, and hoping to see you soon, I am
Ever the same,
