12/05/30 EC's reply:
I'm just in receipt of your letter and hasten to reply, to
give you my explanation of the information in [
758]'s last
reading.
In the beginning, the reading speaks of the same impingements
that were mentioned in the first as having existed in the
lumbar and sacral. These, as I understand, are gradually
assuming normal conditions, but from that existent condition
they are not at all times good - for there is a tendency to
revert to old form, from impulse - very much as if a fellow
was trying to break himself of a bad habit. Hence it is
giving that more of the corrective measures should be given
in this region. That's why the vibratory forces are applied
in this region, for the IMPULSE - that is, the tendency of
the nerves' reaction in that portion of the system. Hence
the change in the wet battery appliance. That's why it would
be helpful, or should be in [
758]'s case just at this time.
The battery, as you understand, creates a normal equilibrium
of nerve impulse, the low form of electrical vibration
working WITH the body to create a normal equilibrium.
Now, the first question, as to auto-suggestion - this, as
given, is good in any case, especially in a developing mind,
where incoordination is a result of nerve impulse
disturbance. Then, the suggestion that is given is to be
repeated to the body as it sinks to sleep. As I understand
it, this will produce a decided reaction in the body, if it
is properly administered. Blanche was present when the
reading was given, and Dr. Crews has gone over it very
thoroughly with her, as to just the manner in which the
suggestion is to be made and when it is to be made. As this
creates this change, by the manner in which he will DREAM -
and he will tell these dreams - that's when you will KNOW
that it IS having an effect, or reaching his unconscious or
subconscious or subliminal mind - when he is in sleep. Of
course, there's a great deal said as to how these suggestions
should be given. Not just merely saying them to be saying
something; not storming, to be sure, but very quietly and
very much as a prayer would be said. To know that the
developments have reached the place where this will have
effect, is certainly a most wonderful development - to my way
of thinking. I hope you and Mrs. [
1192] will see it the same
way.
In question two [758-25, Par. 3-A], it answers its own self.
It shows why this vibration from the battery should be
helpful in reducing this irritation that creates a high
specific gravity in the urine. Also in question three
[758-25, Par. 4-A] it sets down on there being given a
sedative of any kind to make him rest, or to be rid of him -
as you've heard that people do - and I'm sure such things do
happen; but rather that, taking the patience, and in a quiet
manner, and with sincerity of purpose, will have more to do
with the mental and physical development with the body than
anything else. All in all, to me, this seems to be a most
satisfactory reading, and I'm sure that if the doctor and the
nurse will cooperate in the application of the suggestions
you must very soon see decided results from same.
I'm glad to say that we are all fairly well. Nothing
particularly new going on. Hope things straighten out with
you all in your business. Certainly did enjoy being with
Mr. [
719] [?] for a while during his stay. I'm looking
forward to the time when you can find it convenient to be
back for a while and I can beat you a game of golf.
Be sure to remember us very kindly to each and every one
there, and with best love from all the family to you all,
Ever the same,
