This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mr. David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 8th day of May, 1941, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [903], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [903], [759] and [773], Ellen T. Emmet and others.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical and mental condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures and developments; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. Changes, and the natural or normal developments, are indicated as having come in the activities of the body since last we had same here.
4. The effects of the glandular disturbance are still indicated in the system at present. If there is the taking advantage of this condition in the present, we find that there will be bettered conditions throughout the system; especially as toward the stature development - or the pineal reaction through the system. [Mother still worried about his small stature.]
5. Take very small doses of the atomic iodine, - that is, Atomidine, in this manner: Take one minim in half a glass of water each morning before the meal, for three days. Leave off then for the rest of the week. Then the next week do the same. Then leave off again, - then repeat.
6. After the third series, wait at least a month. Then repeat the whole procedure - that is, the three whole series, you see. Leave off then another month; and repeat the three series.
7. Then leave off a period of some six months. Then repeat.
8. This will aid in purifying ALL the glands of the body, and ALLOW for greater developments from NORMAL reactions in the body.
9. After those periods, - or within a year or year and a half, - if there is not the stature development, THEN use that as may stimulate same; though the Atomidine (or atomic iodine) would BETTER prepare the body for such, if it is necessary, than it would be prepared without taking same.
10. In the mental attitudes, at this period of its life cycle, many changes are being wrought. These as we find are nominal or normal reactions. This is a period, however, when counsel is the most needed.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Would it be harmful to use the hormone injections for stimulating the pituitary gland for growth?
    (A) We wouldn't for at least eighteen months to two years. But we would produce IN the system, as indicated, bettered conditions for these to react properly - should they become necessary.
13. (Q) Should any vitamins be given; if so, what, how often, etc.?
    (A) It is best that most vitamins be assimilated from the foods. As we find, under the EXISTENT conditions, no special vitamins are needed other than those that may be obtained from a balanced diet.
14. (Q) Why is he so tense at times?
    (A) Remember the period through which he is passing.
15. (Q) How can the mother be more helpful in directing this body, to attain a well-rounded life?
    (A) Consider the attitude and the manner of approach as we have indicated, as to the way or manner the body reacts to counsel or advice. USE that, in that way or manner. This, as we find, is in the present through appealing to the entity in the stimulating of influences that bring success materially, mentally, spiritually.
    Do not leave off the spiritual counsel, for this makes for purposes necessary in a well-rounded life. The possibilities, the opportunities, are here manifested. Keep them guided in that direction, - not by force but by counsel.
16. (Q) What form of physical activity should be stressed at this time?
    (A) All of that which develops the body muscles and the body structural forces. ALL that pertain to exercise in the open.
17. (Q) How should he best spend his summer, and where?
    (A) A great deal of this should be a matter of the individual's choice. For, he thinks - very well - but oft needs counsel in choices made. As we find, in the open - or in camp or the like - is the better.
18. (Q) Should anything be done at this period of his development to realize fulfillment of the prophecy as to his being a great physician, as given in his Life Reading? [See 759-1 on 3/20/29.]
    (A) Stimulate the natural tendencies in that direction. Do not hinder by making light or questioning remarks as to the studies of the body in that direction. Rather encourage him, but do not force.

REPORTS

1. 7/22/41 Mr. [257]'s letter:
   [759] is teaching First Aid at the Boy Scout camp where there are 165 boys. He is the tiniest and the youngest fellow there but the doctor selected him because of his medical aptitude. [759] also wants to know if he can check the use of grapes and other foods in the laboratory so he can prove scientifically what they do. This is using his own terms. Our neighbor Mrs. Little has a boy who is studying medicine and she believes definitely in the Readings. She wants to get a Life Reading on this boy who is taking his premed at Dartmouth.
