This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of December, 1943, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time; with suggestions for corrective measures, answering the questions as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we find the body here; this we have had before. Some disturbances through the body in the present of rather an acute nature.
3. As we find, there should be set up good eliminations, preferably by using a vegetable compound. This, with rest, should cleanse the body of this cold and congestion.
4. We find that it would be well to flush the colon by a colon enema.
5. Massages to stimulate eliminations, not trying to make any adjustments, would be helpful.
6. As for disturbances in the glands of the throat, with which the body is suffering in the present, we find that the consistent use of a massage each evening would be helpful; using an equal combination of Mutton Tallow (melted) Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor.
7. Massage this into the throat and the glands. When ready to retire, soak a cloth or gauze with this mixture and put it around the throat, then a dry cloth over same. This treatment will either dissolve the disturbance or so separate it that when it is necessary to remove the stone by operative measures there would not be a recurrence. But do not remove this unless such measures have been taken to separate or disintegrate these disturbances.

9. (Q) What diet and exercise is best now?
   (A) This depends upon the period. At present we find that liquids and semi-solid solid foods would be better. Later, when cold or congestion has been eliminated, keep a normal balanced diet. Later we would also add the properties found in Kal-Dak. For this body we would take it in orange juice or the V-8 juices; about half or a level teaspoonful once each day, dissolved first in a little hot water and then the glass filled with the orange juice or the V-8 juices.
10. (Q) What is best program for his mental and spiritual development?
    (A) A well balanced exercise physically and mentally; plenty of relaxation and plenty of work, physically and mentally.
11. (Q) Should he plan to finish [...] High School or go to a college prep school?
    (A) This again would depend upon the circumstances. As we find for the body, we would finish in prep school.
12. (Q) What effect on his future life would two years at Quaker School in Philadelphia have?
    (A) This depends upon the application the entity would make of self. This is a good school, but is it the course or pursuit of study desired by the body? The body should make the choice itself, not others for it.
13. (Q) What can he do now to aid his development into a doctor?
    (A) Study!
14. (Q) Outline the plan to follow in and out of school, year by year?
    (A) This again depends upon choices to be made by the entity. As indicated, keep a well balanced, well rounded program. Don't become lopsided in any direction. Periods of exercise, and recreation, some social activities, also improvements in all of those activities as to associations. These would keep the body balanced in its growth and development.
15. (Q) What branch of medicine is best for his future service to mankind?
    (A) This is also a choice of the entity itself. The heart and head, as we find, should be the most interesting to the body.
16. (Q) How can he prepare himself to render a great service to God and know what is expected of him?
    (A) Keeping well balanced and not becoming lopsided or self-centered in any manner.
17. (Q) Guide him by advice as to his moral development through this important period of his life.
    (A) This must be farther-reaching in self, according to the ideal chosen by the entity. Do not forget the spiritual side of the life. Know from within the sources of supply. Do keep in the faith of the fathers as to the sources. Write in heart, in mind, in purpose the 5th verse of the 19th chapter of Exodus, on heart, on mind, on everything ye do - and you won't go far wrong!
18. (Q) What is his destiny as shown by his life chart?
    (A) He will make it!
19. (Q) In what should his educational fund be invested for safety of principal and returns?
    (A) This depends upon the choices to be made for the activities of the entity. Security in government or is such as General Electric.
