5/21/37 Mrs. [
760]'s reply to Questionnaire:
(1) In your opinion did the analysis of the Reading cover
the condition?
ABSOLUTELY.
(2) Give symptoms of condition described correctly?
My entire nervous system seemed to be in a state of collapse,
being almost constantly in a quiver from head to foot.
Very weak. Every thing, even water entering the stomach
caused pain, or discomfort from excessive gases. Very
nauseated. Unable to lay on my left side at any time from
shortness of breath and could not sleep on my right side from
being so disturbed by a thumping in my ears, sounding as if
the working of a hydraulic pump. There was no relief from
this annoyance, night or day. Entire region about the liver
and gall duct, very sore.
(3) What was the physician's analysis of this condition?
Dr. Gaither [Gant Gaither, M.D.] (surgeon) said my condition
indicated gall duct trouble, ulcer or cancer of the stomach
and asked me to have two x-ray pictures made before being
willing to treat me.
(4) Have the suggestions given in the Reading been followed
exactly as outlined?
YES.
(5) For how long?
Until the present date.
(6) Describe the extent to which improvements have resulted?
Every condition has improved to where I feel nearer normal
than at any time for two years.
Date: May 21st, 1937 Signed: Mrs. [
