(Q) What about the phlegm in throat?
(A) As we find, the giving of the eliminations will be the
most helpful to the conditions; though, as this makes or
tends for the accumulations, it would be helpful to give
small sips of a Calcidin solution until there is an iodine
reaction. Dissolve five grains of Calcidin in one ounce of
DISTILLED water. Keep this warm, and give small sips - half
a teaspoonful every thirty or forty minutes for two or three
hours; then skip two, three, four hours, and then give again,
you see, until there is the iodine reaction. This will cut
loose the phlegm and make for the easier expectoration.
(Q) The pains in head?
(A) These rubbings will relieve these conditions.
We are through for the present.

(Keep Calcidin warm by letting solution stay near heat,
rather than heating the solution itself.
Do not burn whiskey with match. Light a piece of paper and
let the flame burn the alcohol.
See directions [which were enclosed] for making beef juice.
