TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [772]; this we have had before.
2. In the present we find while there are those acute conditions, and the body has been rather uncomfortable because of the accentuations of distress through pressures created by congestion segregating itself - making for the conditions in head, neck, throat, ear, soft tissues of the face, that to be most warned against is infection in the soft tissue or bone around the ear.
3. Then, most necessary at the present time is the attempt to make for the eliminations.
4. So, under the existent conditions, we find these would be the better applications:
5. First we would take internally a stimulant for the liver activity; as in the Simmons Liver Regulator. This we find would be better to take in two doses; about a teaspoonful (in the liquid) of morning and then the other later in the evening - or at the time for retiring.
6. We would bathe the feet, and from the knees down, especially.
7. And we would massage thoroughly into the soles of the feet an equal combination of Mutton Tallow, Turpentine, Camphor and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Of course, heat the Mutton Tallow to add the other ingredients. This solution would be massaged thoroughly into the soles of the feet, to draw the circulation towards them - of course, and to set up a counter-irritation.
8. Also we would have a deep manipulation osteopathically, specifically in the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area, to set up drainages. Such manipulations would prevent the segregations and set up the eliminations in such ways and manners as to COORDINATE with those activities created by the increased circulation through the liver and the alimentary canal, to throw off the poisons.
9. In the matter of the diet, keep rather the alkalin-reacting foods; semi-liquid or predigested foods. Not too much sweets, but rather those things that create energies for blood supply. The STRENGTHENING foods are better in the present.
10. Naturally, it is well that there be a cleansing of the ear - with a weak antiseptic solution of an alkalin nature. Then after such a cleansing, we would put one drop of St. Jacob's Oil in the ear. This would be well to prevent the tissue from becoming irritated or causing the formation of scar tissue from the eruption and the breaking of same.
11. Thus we may make for the general conditions that will bring the improvements to the body.
12. Two to three of such osteopathic manipulations, two or three of such cleansings of the ear, and possibly two days or periods of the eliminations through the alimentary canal through taking the Regulator (with one day elapsing between same), should bring the body to near normal again.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What antiseptic is best to use for the ear, and what proportion?
    (A) This should be supplied by one that is trained in such, but any good antiseptic that tends more toward an alkaline reaction than acid is preferable.
15. (Q) What produced the illness of the last few days?
    (A) Congestion.
16. (Q) What caused the condition in the ear (slight deafness and then bursting)?
    (A) Segregation, and going to those portions where inflammation set up, and the condition segregated itself.
Do these as indicated, and we will find bettered conditions for this body.
17. We are through for the present.
