This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of March, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [774], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [774]; this we have had before.
2. The experience through which the body is passing at the present time will be helpful to the body in understanding some of those activities the body is to do, as regarding some material association.
3. In the physical forces of the body we find some changes from that as we have had here before. Some are for the better; others have the appearance of making for greater disturbing factors in definite ways and manners.
4. The inactivity of the gastric flow of the system towards a balance in the digestive system, or the foods not being assimilated by the gastric flows in the system, would indicate the strain or inflammation that goes on in the lymph flow through the intestinal system; especially with those activities that make for an emptying of the fluids into the active forces of the duodenum.
5. Hence we find that a change in the diet would be advisable for the body.
6. This, as we find, would be an outline, though - to be sure - it would be necessary for the body to take those precautions that should any portions of these become overactive in the system it would rather change same in these ways and manners:
7. About three times each week for the morning meal have a little very crisp bacon, with a coddled egg - eating only the YOLK of same. This with whole wheat toast, tea or coffee.
8. About once or twice a week for the morning meal have the whole wheat cereal, either the cracked wheat or Maltex, with cream AND milk. And use honey if there is to be taken any sweetening with same.
9. Other mornings use the grapefruit, or orange, or pineapple.
10. For the noon meals have preferably a raw vegetable salad, or vegetables or fruits with a few nuts in same.
11. Let the evening meals be rather of the cooked vegetables, but cooked in their OWN juices; or the flesh of lamb or fowl - not greases.
12. We would find that a small quantity of Milk of Bismuth will be helpful for the body in absorbing the poisons and tending to lessen the activity of the gastric flows, or the too great and activity of the lymph with the gastric flow. This taken two or three times each week, Tuesdays and Thursdays or the like, or oftener if this makes for a settling of the stomach. The dose would be half a teaspoonful in half a glass of water, thoroughly stirred in same.
13. We find that the use of the Radio-Active Appliance would be helpful in keeping the circulation equalized and in making for better rest for the body, enabling the body to sleep better. And, as is indicated with the use of the Radio- Active Appliance, when the body uses same for thirty minutes to an hour each day, it is well to remain quiet and in a meditative state of the mental reactions for the body. These will bring the more helpful conditions for the body.
14. A use of the hand violet ray occasionally on the back of the neck, from the base of the brain to the middle portion of the spine - or to the 9th dorsal, this applied as the body is ready to rest of an evening, will also make for a material aid in producing a quieting for the body.
15. Doing these, as we find, would bring the more helpful conditions for this body, [774].

17. (Q) What causes the weakness or irregularity of the heart? How can I help to keep it stronger?
    (A) This is produced by this great strain that is made upon the general system; especially the circulation through the liver, the lungs, the heart and the digestive system. And the use of these properties indicated, and the changing of the diet, with the balancing of the circulation through the use of the Radio-Active Appliance, should be helpful to these conditions of the body.
    In making the application of the Radio-Active Appliance, have the attachments to the opposite poles of the body, always attaching the one to the wrist before the one to the opposite ankle; right wrist, left ankle, left wrist, right ankle.
18. (Q) Are my intestines acting right?
    (A) As indicated, this is the main disturbance causing the weakness of the body, the restlessness and lack of strength; for there is not the correct assimilations.
19. (Q) How can I help myself constitutionally?
    (A) As indicated, in the mental attitudes as the Radio-Active Appliance is applied for the equalization in the circulatory forces to be accomplished. Also in the mental and spiritual forces keep self open, but only in that accord where the DIVINE - that is an expression of self - may direct. Or, ever surround self with the thought of the Consciousness of the Christ within.
20. (Q) Is the inflammation of eyes curable?
    (A) This will be a great deal better helped, when all these applications are made for the coordination of the circulation and the absorption of this increased disturbance.
21. (Q) What effects are there from the tonic I've been taking?
    (A) These properties have been in some measures helpful, yet they have been a strain in some directions on the system. Rather would we use those tonics that may be had by the storing of energies in the system as indicated, than taxation of the active forces in the body to produce energies at the expense of others portions of the body.
22. (Q) Any spiritual advice?
    (A) As indicated, keep self ever surrounded in the mental attitudes with the Christ Consciousness.

   Dear Mr. Cayce,
   Your messages came to me this morning, giving me a great sense of uplift in my material body as in my Divine Consciousness, if I may so express myself.
   I am sending for the Radio-Active Appliance today. It is a gift from a dear friend eager for my better health.
   All you gave is exactly correct - I am not writing much, as I hope to see you VERY soon. Hoping I will be notified the time you will be here.

2. 4/17/36 She was present for her Life Reading - 774-5.
3. 5/06/36 EC's letter to Mrs. [639] in re Radio-Active Appliance suggested for her husband in 550-8: "Am anxious to know Mr. [550]'s reaction to the Appliance. While in N.Y. we met a lady (Miss [774]) for whom one of these was suggested, and for the first time in three yrs. she was able to walk some ten blocks back and forth, later she was able to see a great difference with her eyes; she is very enthusiastic over the results she has gotten."
4. 5/13/36 [774]'s letter: "About my appliance - it has done me a great deal of good, and for the past few weeks under very trying conditions (getting ready to move, and alone) I find that I sleep usually seven and a half hours at night - quite wonderful. The indigestion and its consequences CURED. My eyes have improved much, allowing me to read for a longer time than in the past two years. Except for a short period last summer they have steadily improved, but I use care. There is much to tell you some day. Lack of eyesight has made me lose much of your literature which left me in ignorance, but I will surely make up for all I have lost and not understood."

You may also be surprised to know that I have used the appliance 4 times exactly. [I think she means 4 rounds, or 16 days of the daily treatments.
