10/23/35 Ltr. from Miss [
798] to EC: Enclosed is the
questionaire [See under
798-3 Reports] recently sent me. I
return it with thanks for the help and comfort given me by
the suggestions in the rdgs., and with amazement at the
surprising accuracy of the diagnosis made and particularly
the pointedness of the side remarks which have spoken of
things unknown to me, but which proved absolutely correct
which I enquired of the older members of my family. It is a
splendid thing that you have been guided to use your great
powers for the benefit of your fellow men and most sincerely
I hope that you will meet with ever increasing success.
I have never before come into personal contact with anything
of the kind, in fact would have been very skeptical
I believe, had it not been so pointedly established to my own
satisfaction that there are more things in Heaven and Earth
than are dreamt of in your philosophy:
As I wrote my cousin, Mr. [
261], I have been much interested
in the reviews of the recently published book of Dr. Alexis
Carrel, the great biologist who believes that these great
forces should be scientifically studied as YOU are doing with
your case histories.
Again wishing you every success in your work...
2/03/36 "The description of characteristics probably known
only to myself were most accurate and convincing."
Miss [
798], her cousin told us, died very suddenly in the
Fall of 1936.
