... Street, N.W., Apt. 38
Washington, D.C.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cayce:
We arrived home safely Sunday night after a very enjoyable
trip and we both want to thank you folks for such a lovely
visit. We haven't stopped talking yet about the delicious
dinner you prepared for us, Mrs. Cayce, and if I ever get to
the stage where I can cook half as well as you do, I will
feel as though I am an expert.
Needless to say, we were both more than pleased with my
reading and have felt much better since I had it. It said I
was normal and so I must be! Of course, I do feel, as my
reading also stated, that when I started exercising and
getting more recreation, my body will naturally adjust
itself. After being more or less careful for about three
years, it is expected that my muscles need hardening. We
stopped in Norfolk to get the prescription filled for my cold
and Mr. Snyder [Milton H. Snyder] wasn't on but the other
druggist said he would give it to him Monday morning to be
filled and sent to us. I will probably receive it this
evening - I can hardly wait until I get it, although my cold
is much better.
By the way, Hugh Lynn, we met Delcie [Delsie A. Appel, HLC's
girl friend, who became a few years later Mrs. Shelly
Gilbert.] and her brother on the ferry and had quite a visit.
Both she and her brother are very nice and we were glad of
the opportunity of seeing them again. I expect that they
arrived in Washington long before we did because we went
sightseeing through Williamsburg. We had heard so much about
Williamsburg that we decided to take an extra hour while we
were there and look around. It is certainly a quaint little
place and well worth seeing.
I do hope that you will come to Washington soon after the
Congress in June and if we can't get down for the Congress we
will be there sometime this summer as I do want to get in
some swimming at Virginia Beach!
Remember us to your father, Hugh Lynn, and Edgar Evans, and
Miss Davis.
Thanking you again and with best regards,
Very sincerely, [

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cayce:
Received my reading and also your letter and we both were
very glad to hear from you. I haven't gotten tired of
reading my instructions yet, and have been very careful in
carrying them out. I have even stopped eating cereals and
drinking citrus fruits together in the mornings!! The cough
syrup you prescribed has helped my cold a lot - as a matter
of fact it is almost entirely well. I haven't started
dancing, swimming, and playing golf yet, but I'm making
arrangements to do so. I have been walking quite a bit
nevertheless, and surely feel fine.
I don't think we will be able to get down for the Congress,
but later on we are planning on taking a trip over some week
end when I will be able to go in swimming, etc. We are very
anxious to see you folks nevertheless. We had such a nice
week end before and I do think the trip did me worlds of
good.
I'm enclosing my May dues herewith, and do want to thank you
again for the wonderful reading you gave me. It surely was
wonderful to hear you say that I was entirely well. I'm
going to be better yet, nevertheless, because I'm still
carrying out my instructions and according to my reading that
will keep me fit.
We hope you folks are well and when you get the time would be
glad to hear from you.
Sincerely, [

that will gradually heal up. It takes time and I'm delighted
that I have gotten along as well as I have - thanks to you."
9/17/35 "My Dad was very pleased with my improvement and said
he never saw such a change in a person in one year. He
couldn't get over it. As a matter of fact, everyone remarked
about it. Last year I was up prowling around half the night
not being able to sleep and this year I did nothing but
sleep."
