EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [820]; and that information which has been given the body regarding his mental, his physical and material welfare.
In giving that which we find would be the more helpful and the most worthy of consideration in these directions in the present:
While the general physical health is very good, there are those hindrances that would and do prevent the body's activity and engagement in those fields of service that would not only bring the greater contentment to the body but the greater remunerative interests also.
It would be well, then, first, that the body consider those suggestions that have been given in those directions respecting the health; that there may be the better body for the material manifestations of the mental and spiritual abilities for the body in those directions regarding its work in this material experience.
Do the first things first, then. Make those preparations and activities in the directions that will bring for the body the better facilities in self mentally for the activities in those directions given.
Then in those fields that have been intimated, either in the service of flying or in those activities pertaining to the associations of governmental activities in various departments in relationships with other lands, would be the channels through which the activities of the entity would bring about the greater satisfaction for the body.
Making those preparations first, then, we would find that these channels would - through the present associations or affiliations, that have been an association with the body - make for the opening of opportunities in these directions.
Necessity demands that preparations be made in these fields, but there are those connections in which the activities may be engaged immediately through which the preparations can be made.
And then very soon, as those changes come about in the early part of the coming year, when there are those advancements or changes in these fields of activity, there may be the opportunity for service.
In the meantime this leaves the opportunities for the disposal of the holdings in the fields of service or activity in which there may be the settlings of a portion of those holdings through the sale of the oil productions, through either Farrish [?] in New York (as associated with the former associations) or the Sterling interests in Houston. These, of course, are cooperative interests, but through these channels - and through those advisory to same (which connections, as we find, may be easily made by or with one Wilson, in the oil service of the government activities in former associations) - these operations may be carried on, within the next few weeks - if the activities are carried out in those directions.

(Q) Just when and what connections -
(A) (Interrupting) How soon does he desire to dispose of same? Make the connections immediately, then, with Wilson; if it's necessary for a go between - which will make for introductions to those interests in which Farrish [?] is at present engaged - which is with the Standard Oil of New Jersey, while the Sterling interests (which are associates or are cooperative interests with the Farrish [?] interests) would be with the Humble Oil - which are upon the ground and are active in the west Texas field.
Do that.

BACKGROUND

11/05/35 Letter from [820] to EC: "...I have returned to Washington after having been absent for about 3 months. We took some trip out west and made some 11,000 miles in all. I have returned and am now looking for a position after having resigned last July..."
11/14/35 Questions submitted: "1. Desiring to be of better service to my fellow-man in a greater field of activity please advise me as to the raising of finances or the wherewithal to accomplish this? 2. Regarding a change in my business what would be best for me to do at the present time? 3. Would it be best for me to stay in Washington and reenter the Government service, if so in what Department? 4. To whom can my oil assignments on leases in the East Texas Oil field near Overton, Texas, be sold? a. Give names and addresses. 5. Give any details that would help me sell this. 6. Could Mr. David Kahn of New York City be of any assistance in my effort to sell my oil assignments? 7. Give me any other advice that would aid me at the present time."

11/20/35 GD's note: I think you can find out from the Commissary in Washington just where Major Alf Wilson is; he is a retired government man and lives in Brooklyn - but we don't know his street address. If you can't find out in Washington, I think Dave Kahn can tell you or find him for you. You can reach Mr. Kahn at 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, Phone Trafalgar 7-3456. Major Wilson is a friend of Mr. Cayce, and I'm sure would be glad to put you in touch with these people. Let us hear further. I think it would be advisable for you to get your finger surgery treatments and get in shape for the work you want to do. See if you can't do that; it will be worth it. 1/12/46 Letter from Mrs. [264] to HLC: "...[820] was hurt because he was not made an officer. Said he could not do any good as a Cpl. [820] says he wants to do whatever will enable him to do the most good, and he isn't doing anything. Believe his Life Reading said he was ruler of the 'Law of One' on Atlantis. Well, [820] just expects to walk right in just anywhere and be 'on top' without applying himself or specializing in anything, and he doesn't realize the material need of FITTING himself to serve. So, please read over his Life Reading and then write to him..."
3/10/60 Letter from [264] to GDT: "...[820] married a widow with a daughter about 15 yrs. old several years ago. She was a Catholic, so was the daughter. Both were just lovely. The wife was about the age of [1968], and most capable. She had been a dietician in a school in New York. She lived about one year and a half, and died with cancer. I felt so sad for all three. Think the daughter went to Boston to live with her mother's sister. The daughter had been in a private school in Boston for several years. The mother had had several operations before the date of her daughter's graduation, and she told me she would live to go to that graduation. She did - [820] went with her..."
"[820]'s mother, Mrs. [823], also passed on about two years ago."
