3/07/35 Ltr. from Dr. Geo. W. Chiswell:
3923 28th Street,
Mt. Ranier, Md.
Dear Brother Cayce,
"Your recent communication received I was glad to hear from
you. I like to get letters but I hate to write them so I
know you will pardon my delay in answering yours.
"You asked me about Mrs. [
822]. I have only been able to
give her four treatments with the linament since you gave
me the prescription. She says that it makes her feel a
little better for about one or two hours. She is bothered
by the desire to micturate so much that in interferes with
her rest at night so she is nearly driven to distraction.
"I am very glad to hear that you felt so much better after
the treatment I gave you. I hope you will continue to do
so as good health is something a fellow can't have too much
of.
"The reason I have only given Mrs. [
822] four treatments
is that I was laid up myself for three weeks. I suffered
the torments of the damned for four days and nights, I never
slept a wink. I was helpless. I can hear you say now what
in the world did you do to your self? Well, I was doing the
Good Samaritan act for a lady in distress by fixing a flat
tire for her when I twisted my back some how by trying to
jack up her machine with the forementioned result. I am glad
to say I am back on my feet again now. I had four bones out
of place and all four were pinching on nerves. I thank the
Lord I have them back in place once again. Nobody can tell
me that Chiropractic is a humbug after having gone through
that experience. I will sign off now hoping to hear from
you again soon."
Yours truly, Dr. Geo. W. Chiswell
