8/17/40 [

Washington, D.C.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I'm glad to hear that you had such a good Congress. I
received the report the other day. I also notice that the
reading on world affairs bears out what has been predicted by
astrology that we will have war in this country. Astrology
indicates that it well start about the latter part of 1942 or
in 1943. I have been unable to figure out the participants,
however. I had originally thought that it would be a war
within the country in an effort to overthrow the New Deal
government. It seems now that it might be a war against an
outside force such as Germany. In either case, it will be a
war for liberty, and astrology indicates that we will win, as
well as that England will ultimately win over Germany.
I spent about three months in Florida last winter. I had
accumulated considerable leave, so I used most of it. The
wheat germ oil recommended by the reading which I had when
I was there was beneficial. However, on the way through
Norfolk, I stopped and saw Dr. Frischkorn. He used his
electrical apparatus, and prescribed certain mineral and
vitamin preparations, which I tried out twice; but in each
instance, the effect was distinctly adverse within 24 hours.
He seems to have quite a wonderful machine, as the diagnosis
which he made was similar to that which the reading showed.
But apparently he doesn't know how to prescribe for the
difficulties after he finds out what they are. I also
checked up on Dr. Byrd [Fredoon C. Birdi, N.D.], I believe
that was his name, in Florida, but found that he had not been
with the MacFadden Institute for several years, and had gone
to St. Petersburg, Fla. That was on the opposite coast of
Florida from where I was located, and I did not see him.
When I returned from Florida, some people were with me, and
I was unable to stop in to see you again.
When I was down there early in 1938, I think I mentioned that
I thought by 1940, I would be in a position where I might be
able to do something of importance for the Association and in
connection therewith. This expectation was based upon moves
in the market and business which I anticipated would take
place. Business has reacted as we expected, but it has
become apparent that so long as the New Deal is in power,
there will be no more important moves in the market on the
upside. Whether they will be voted back in this election
year, we will have to wait and see. So it seems that the
effect of the New Deal rests adversely, not only on the
people of the country and individuals, but also upon other
factors such as the Association and its work. It simply
means that it will take a longer time to accomplish that
which I had hoped I would be able to do by now.
I am enclosing herewith a money order for $22, to pay my
this year's dues, which have been delayed, and money for a
check physical reading. It would be better for me if the
check physical reading could be given some morning. In the
physical reading, please ask the following questions.
I have recently had part of the time a dull aching pain in
my left hip and left leg, with occasional twinges in other
parts of the body. What is the cause of this pain?
What can I do to cure it?
Can anything be done to cure my catarrhal condition?
Can you give me the name of any naturopath doctor in
Washington, D. C., who can efficiently operate the electrical
device recommended in my previous reading, and can be relied
upon to prescribe therefore?
When I was there before, you will recall that I had hoped we
might develop through the readings some manner of system or
method of caring for the health which could be used by
anyone, and which would enable the body to cure itself of
most any ailment. Apparently, this is not possible.
I recall that during your sojourn as Ra-Ta in Egypt, you
were able to rejuvenate your body at that time so that you
lived to be about 1,000 years old [See
294-150, 294-151,
etc.]. Have the readings ever disclosed how this was done?
[See R3 below.]
Regards to all. [

P.S. At the time the reading is given, I will be in Room
..., Interstate Commerce Commission Building, between 12th
and 13th Streets, on Constitution Avenue, Northwest.
