Dear Gladys,
I am enclosing herewith $10 for a check reading. When the
reading is given, I will be in Room ..., ... Bldg., between
... Streets on ... Avenue, Northwest. In addition to any
question which may occur to you during the reading please ask
the following questions:
What elements did I have in my body or in my diet in November
and early December, 1940, which I don't have now, and which
enabled my body to improve rapidly in health.
What are the best sources of these elements.
In what quantity should they be taken.
Tell Hugh Lynn that I have kept these readings as long as I
have, the ones he sent me, [

826-11 Reports.]
in the hope that my mental energy would so improve that I
would be able to do something with them. I thought when I
asked for them that I would be able to devote considerable
time to them. However, I have been unable to improve my
physical health to an extent so that I could do more mental
work than is required of me at the office. If he wishes, I
can return them now; or I might keep them a little longer in
the hope that the reading will help me to improve enough so
that I can devote time to them.
Since I have talked to you, I have discovered one thing in
which you might be interested. The only satisfactory source
of vitamin B-1 which I have found is whole wheat bread.
To be satisfactory, it must contain the whole grain, at least
all but the germ. The germ can be obtained by taking a
capsule per day of wheat germ oil. Much whole wheat bread
contains only a partial percentage of the whole grain, even
though it is represented as being 100 percent whole wheat
bread. I find in order to get enough vitamin B-1, I require
eight slices of whole wheat bread. Six slices are not
enough. I weigh 180 pounds. Thiamin chloride is not a
satisfactory source according to my finding. I took as
much as 25 to 30 milligrams a day without effect.
[
816] and [

2784] occasionally, and
he always speaks of you folks. I had thought I might go to
Florida for a while this winter, but it isn't likely now that
I will. Regards to all. [
