6/27/38 Ltr. from Mr. [
849]:
Dear Hugh Lynn:
The bath was delayed a day because the man we had engaged
to come out and give the massage got into an automobile
accident. However, his assistant came out this afternoon and
although it was something of an ordeal we got though it all
right. I didn't see the atomidine in the water but I took
such a small quantity of it that it couldn't possibly have
discolored the water very much.
We have followed the advice in the check reading and we hope
now to see some results.
When [
1102] went to get some fresh chloride of gold the man
said that there are three different kinds - acid brown, acid
yellow, and chemically pure. He said that chemically pure
is never used in batteries. We are using acid yellow and we
hope it is all right. If not please let us know right away.
We will let you know what the reactions to bath are.
Hoping you had swell congress, I remain your bed-ridden
chairman of publications.
[

P.S. The battery has to be changed on the ninth of July.
Send us full instructions as to how to do it, although we
hope it will be the excuse for a visit from you.
