We would change the attachments of the Camphor Solution
through the Appliance, but the rest we would leave as they
are, or as they have been indicated to be used. Let the
Camphor attachment be changed to the lower extremities; that
is, the small plate to the 4th lumbar, and the other -
carrying the Solution - to the BOTTOM of the foot, see? this
on the bursa that's towards the front, and this would be
closer, of course, to that area under the great toe.
In bathing the body, use a GOOD antiseptic soap that would be
helpful; and DO NOT LET THIS COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER,
OR BE USED BY ANY OTHER HANDS, SEE? This should be kept
apart. Use either the D.D.D. Soap as prepared for such, or
the Cuticura Soap; but use the D.D.D. Ointment or Cream as a
massage into same.
And the oils for massaging the body, these we would change a
bit now. During these periods of the greater disturbance,
use ONLY the Olive Oil. After a bit the other oils may be
used again, when there are the needs for the means of aiding
a stimulation to the superficial circulation, but in the
present there is sufficient being carried on. Hence only use
the Olive Oil, which will be as a skin food as well as an
absorbent for the better circulatory forces.
In the diet, keep along those lines indicated, - fruits,
vegetables, and occasionally the meat. Here we find that
even pork occasionally would be very good, if it is WELL -
WELL - WELL COOKED - and no fat! Also beef or beef juices
occasionally would be very good.
Do these and we will have better forces for the body.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Will an Epsom Salts Bath given today be irritating?
(A) Be irritating. Wait until after there has been at least
the second or third application of the Camphor changed to the
lower extremities, with the soaps and oil rubs and baths
indicated.
(Q) Any suggestions for Dr. Hudgins?
(A) He should do better that he's been told to do! He has
not done it as well as he should, especially the stimulations
in the lumbar as paralleled with the lower limbs!
(Q) Any advice regarding the stretching of limbs?
(A) Just keep this up, gently; not too severe, because there
should be some of this loosed by the deep manipulations in
the lumbar and the areas where there are the ends of the
sciatic joining with the muscular forces in the sacral.
These should be relaxed more, as has been indicated for the
osteopath. These haven't been done quite as well as they
should be.
We are through for the present.
