1/09/41 [
851]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
Since, seems, I have had so many physical ailments recently I
felt that I wanted to get a reading from you, as I can always
get some helpful suggestions from them, even tho' I don't
know how to use ALL of them.
And since I stopped in to see [
264] this afternoon for a
little visit with her, she advised me to write to you and ask
if you would send me a physical application blank - she also
made out a few questions that might be helpful to me, and to
YOU also, in giving me a reading.
1/31/41 Letter from Mrs. [
264] to EC: "...Mother [
851] is
some better, but is going to get that reading yet. Frankly,
I believe Mother wanted to get better before getting the
reading for fear it might say there was nothing that would be
done, as after I helped her with the questions she said (but
she laughed) 'I reckon the reading will say that I am so old
I am just falling apart is the reason I have all of those
ailments.' However, Mother's courage is indomitable, and she
will improve on the reading..."
11/25/41 Letter from Mrs. [
264] to EC: "...Mother [
851]
wants to get a reading now. She has not been so well for
some time. Make the appointment far enough ahead for Mother
to send her questions and for you to verify the appointment.
Mother would send the questions now, but is afraid you might
have returned so she asked me to write. She has her
questions all ready...
"Mother [
851] wants a check physical at a period when you are
getting other checks..."
12/02/41 Letter from EC to Mrs. [
264]: "...Miss Gladys tells
me your Mother [
851] wishes to have an appointment for a
check physical reading. Am making the period for the morning
of the 9th, 10:30 to 11:30 E.S.T. Hope that will be
satisfactory. Let her send questions and be sure and let me
know where she will be at that hour. Let us have this be
Monday, as mail is very irregular from now on until after
Christmas..."
12/05/41 Letter from Mrs. [
264] to EC: "...Please give any
other advice that would be helpful...
"Mother [
851] came down here and wanted the above fifteen
questions asked. I've written them for her, but feel sure
that most of them will be answered in the body of the
reading.
"She will keep the appointment with you on the morning of the
9th, from 10:30 to 11:30..."
