TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, that are latent and manifested in the personality of the present entity, [866] as known in the present. The record is here. In interpreting that as we find recorded here, that may be helpful in the present experience, much that might be given is an open book to the entity as it turns within for that communion with itself, with its creative forces or energy, for that help, that sustaining influence in the experience of all; which is the birthright of each soul that enters into materiality in the earth's experience.
2. As for the astrological influences, these - as is known and felt by the entity - are as urges and are latent only in the experience, and these are but the signs, the symbols that are accredited to experiences in the passage of the soul from one influence or environment to another as it, the soul, makes its progress or its meeting of that which must be met within self. For, who may enter in that ye may hear His voice? Who may ascend or descend but thyself, that ye may know that the activity of the soul is to become as one with the Creative Forces for which it, the soul, has come - does come - into an experience? whether in materiality or the earth or matter, or in those environs about same where the elemental forces make for the purifying of that which may find its expression in the activity of the entity. For, as the entity has in the past experiences in the earth brought in those varied activities those influences that come as the emotional body, the emotional self that finds expressions through the sensory forces of an individual activity in the earth in the present, these are being - have been - not as subdued but rather as directed into those channels, ways and manners as to become positive constructive forces in the experience of the soul, the body itself, as it goes about guiding or directing or aiding or strengthening those that are weak, that are wandering, or that are making that effort to realize that the consciousness of the Christ Force in themselves makes them aware of the oneness with the Creative Forces in activity in material planes. In this the entity is progressing in the present.
3. These we find as experiences in the earth, those that make for an influence in the urges in the present:
4. Before this we find the entity was not in the land of the present nativity, but in the land of the sojourn in the present; during those periods when there were those coming or entering into this land of promise, this land of the unexpected, this land of exploration.
5. The entity then, in what would be termed the English land, and from that land or place known as Yarmouth, came into those sojourns in the city or in those environs of the present surroundings, yet journeyed much during those experiences; aiding in the activities and understandings of the experiences of those that sought for expression.
6. In the name then Bainbridge, the entity found little opportunity for the full expression of self to the varied characters or individualities that were expressing themselves in the personalities of those loosed upon this land in their varied forms.
7. Hence we find in the present sojourn the seeking for the expression of self, self's development, for this a people that - to the entity's own experience and development - have wandered far afield, yet are as a city set on the hill that only needs the light that it may shine unto those in all the various experiences. For where many are gathered together, there may the understanding come for the making of the at-oneness of the individual with the Creative Forces in its activities. As indicated, the entity is making the application of this.
8. Before that we find the entity was in the land of its present nativity, in and about portions of what is now known as Poona, during those experiences of the uprisings from the entering into that understanding of the new law that had come to many in the city above, in the understandings of what is known as Mohammed or Allah that made for the expressions of an activity.
9. The entity then gave rather the greater expression of the oneness of the individual activity than following any individual that had set self as a lord or master or director over another.
10. In the experience the entity, then in the name Sanlei, gained throughout the activities. For, while in the body much suffering came from the clashing of influences in the mental and in the material affairs during those periods of the attempts of those from the north and those from the eastern portions of the land to bring in those activities that made for turmoils, the entity within itself made for that strengthening of self which made for the willing, for the giving not only of the bodily forces that partook of such activities as to make for the developments, but brought to those about the entity the expression of the oneness of the influences that makes men's lives to be applied in the expressions of same in material things.
11. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, during those experiences when many gathered in the city in the hills and the plains from many lands.
12. The entity then was among those peoples of the Indian land, as called in the present, that came to the teachings in the city in the hills and the plains for the greater understanding of the gatherings of the peoples of many truths through those activities in that particular experience or sojourn.
13. The entity came as one that made for aid to those of its own people, for the entity then was a Prince in its own land of Said, and brought to those peoples that understandings - in the healings that came with the understandings of the teachings of that teacher in the city in the hills.
14. In the experience the entity aided in giving to its own peoples its own understanding of the applications of the law of the universal energies in the application of same in the material experiences; bringing life in its material expression which aided in making for closer relations with those peoples of other lands that brought the greater expressions of the unity of energies towards the relationships of man to the Creative Forces that arise from within.
15. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Indian, during those periods when there was the overrunning of the plains from those peoples in the mountains.
16. And in and about Delhi did the entity then become, or was, the teacher to those peoples in those lands, that brought the unifying of the teachings that came from other lands; both from the Egyptian and the Mongolian lands, as now known, and those activities in that experience made for the period of the greater development of the entity in materiality or in the earth experience thus far; making for that which enjoined many in their activities that made for the entity becoming the teacher, the leader in the experience.
17. In the name then Ben-Saneid, the entity - from that experience or sojourn - in the present may turn the more often within for the greater understanding of the needs of individuals or of groups or of masses. Yet, as the entity gained in that experience, first each soul must find within itself, in its own bodily abode, its OWN relationships to the Creative Forces that may make for the manifestations in the material experiences in the earth; and THEN give out. For in the expression of that to its fellow man may the greater good come, or from the material angle the PRACTICAL application of same in the experience of each soul as to make for the growth necessary for the at-oneness with the Creative Forces that find expressions in materiality.
18. Before that we find the entity was in that now known as the Atlantean land, during those periods when there were the first of the sons of men coming for their expression into matter.
19. The entity then was among the sons of Axarz, that were of the Law of One, as related to finding expression in the gratifying of the desires of flesh or of matter in its expressions in this materiality.
20. There the entity lost, there the entity gained; for THEN were there the callings to the satisfying of the desires of the material things, the aggrandizing of the self in its relationships, in its expressions among its fellows. And then it took upon itself the activities that brought destructive forces, with those reactions during the experience when there were again and again the expressions of the sons of God coming into their manifestations in the earth through the taking on of the form of flesh in that experience. So the entity again came into the consciousness of the at-oneness.
21. And hence it has been and is the expression of same in materiality in the present, meeting those things within itself. For these having been builded must be met in self.
22. As to the abilities in the present and that to which it may attain, and how:
23. In turning again and again within to that consciousness, that temple wherein there has been the promise that He would ever meet thee within thine inner self, there may the light be found, there may the understanding be gained; that the entity may give out to those that are in darkness, or in doubt, that are in the shadows of fear or in the way of the wayward, that which will bring more and more to them the awareness of that presence ever being at-one with them if they will but look and trust in Him - the promise from within.
24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) In my last life who was my wife, and children - and where are they now?
    (A) These were scattered far and wide, because there was more than one; for it was during the period when there were those first entering into this new land. These came in those periods when the entity sojourned from the expressions in what is now the eastern portion of the land to the southern, to the central, and to those in and about what is the Great Lakes region. These were in more than one expression!
26. (Q) How long should I live in this incarnation?
    (A) To a hundred and fifty! if there is the turning -
Here we find much may be said aside from these:
There is the fault in the flesh of not housing the soul, by the abuse of the body. If there is the feeding of the body that the soul may find the greater expression by the activities of the mental mind, the soul and spiritual mind may have the greater opportunities to express itself.
For, as has been given in that command with the promise, "Honor thy father, thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which the Lord, thy God giveth thee." Who is thy father? Who is thy mother? They that do the will of thy Father in heaven; they that do that which makes for the glorifying, the purifying, of the lives, the associations of one with another. THESE as ye honor in thine activity with thy fellow man, ye bring not only that which renews thy strength in thy days in the earth but bring or give to thy fellow man that opportunity for the awakening to those influences from within that may make THEM aware also of THEIR relationship to their God.
27. (Q) What are the prospects of my marriage?
    (A) He that marries doeth well; he that marries not doeth better. This is dependent, or these prospects are dependent, upon the meeting or the associations of that which may come to the consciousness for the necessity for the purifying of the lives of those that may carry on in materiality. These depend upon self; not upon what may be given. For the power of progeneration, the power of generation in the body, is of the Lord. What doeth thou with same is with thee and thy God.
28. (Q) What was my previous relation with Dr. and Mrs. James Douglas Ward?
    (A) These have been, as we find, in more than one association. As a general contact in the experience just previous to this; and in those sojourns when there were those activities in the teacher from the hills and from the activities in the land of thine present nativity; for THERE the entity was the great teacher that made for the UNIFYING of the tenets of many varied lands, and there the entity came in the closer relationships with these individuals.
29. (Q) What was my former association with Mrs. [5765]?
    (A) In that same land of India during the periods when there were the turmoils in the mind of the entity then, when the self - the entity, Saneid, brought to her the understanding: He that hath understanding knoweth the law that is ever present, which is love made manifest and among men.
30. (Q) Miss [...]?
    (A) Here again we find the greater association was in the Indian land; also in the Persian land, for the entity then was a COMPANION of that entity in Persia now known as [...], but was a teacher of [...] in the Indian land, then known as Benenda.
31. (Q) Dr. Manley Hall? [Manley P. Hall]
    (A) We don't find Dr. Manley Hall association.
32. (Q) Mr. [257]?
    (A) Only as a reader of, a student of, by proxy.
33. (Q) What can I contribute to the freedom of India and the brotherhood of man?
    (A) This is a large order, my brother!
The brotherhood of man - preach it ever! O, that man would gain the understanding in his heart of this universality of the truth, that man IS his brother's keeper! Then may there be the awakening within each soul of the necessity of its giving expression to those in every walk of life.
As to the uplift of India, that in which it has been and is so oft misunderstood, the entity's greater contribution may be to the world as to the truths that India holds and has held that the world so much needs, in its mad rush for the expression of the desires of the flesh.

REPORTS

1. 3/23/35 GD's note: After the above reading [866-1] Dr. [866] talked about himself and how beautifully the Life Reading fitted him. He had studied philosophies and religions of the world. After reading Emerson, Whitman and Thoreau he became inspired to travel to America to fulfill his destiny as a Spiritual Teacher. He arrived here just before his twentieth birthday. He was one of the very few East Indians in the United States Army during World War One.
2. 6/29/35 He inscribed his picture which Edgar Cayce put in the "reading room": To My beloved friend and brother, Mr. Edgar Cayce, with my sincerest blessings and love. Radiantly yours, Dr. [866].
3. 4/07/36 Dr. [866]'s ltr. to EC:
   N.Y.C.
   Mr. Edgar Cayce
   Beloved Brother,
Your lovely letter [GD's note: Dr. [866] had been ill with pneumonia] cheered me a lot and nourished my soul. I am once more my radiant self again, busy and happy as usual. Convey my deep regards to the members of your beloved family and staff. I shall be happy to see you again. In case you wanted to use our hall, on Friday, Saturday - you are welcome to use them free of charge. Tuesday evening also the hall is available, and Monday all day until 8 P.M. Anything I could do to serve, spare me not. I am at your sweet disposal.
   Radiantly & lovingly
   Dr. [866]
4. 11/23/36 See 903-24, Par. 7-A approving Dr. [866]'s breathing exercises for Mrs. [903].
5. Year 1940, GD's note: Mrs. [903] told me that Dr. [866] was continuing his lectures, classes, and had married an American girl of great charm and culture.
6. 10/53 Hugh Lynn Cayce attended Dr. [866]'s meditation class again, while lecturing in the same city.
7. 9/15/67 He died suddenly without warning, for he apparently was in excellent health. His wife and a son and daughter survived him, and two grandchildren. In 52 years of lecturing he spoke to at least 5 million Americans, teaching them to become companionate with their own indwelling Father. Thousands were initiated as disciples into the Inner Life, and the discovery of the power of the Holy Nam. He was also the author of many illuminating books, the last three of which dealt with Jesus, the Christ: "They serve as a springboard to greater spiritual heights, wherein one appreciates more than ever the message of the Sat Gurus, the Saviours, Avatars, the Christs, of which Jesus the Christ was one."
He never forgot his debt to his motherland. India was under British rule at the time he arrived in America at the age of twenty. In the years to follow he made outstanding sacrifices as a pioneer in India's Independence movement, and in helping East Indians gain their citizenship in this country - denied until 1946. Many Indian students in America completed their education with his financial assistance. Some returned to India and became members of Parliament, Chief Ministers, doctors, and scientists.
