11/18/36 Gladys Davis' letter to Mr. [
877]:
"The questions not asked in the reading [
877-14] I am
returning, with the exception of two that were asked in your
letter - regarding the Work of Edgar Cayce and regarding the
South American trip.
"My delay in getting this reading to you has been caused not
only by the length of the reading but by many interruptions
(though interesting ones). I hope I have done justice to
such a reading. I'm so glad you heard it.
"If you will refer to the list of the Gobi-period
associations [See 877-12], you will find a Miss [
873] -
teacher of physical education, in whose reading it was given
that she would have something to do with unearthing the
temple of Gold, etc. We hadn't heard from her in two years,
since she had her reading while we were here then. About a
week ago I wrote her a note, telling her we were here again
and would like to see her, also that I would like for her to
meet someone (meaning you) whom I felt would be able to help
her gain a great deal more from her Life Reading than she
had heretofore - and with whom she must have been associated
during the Gobi period, in the work there.
"Well, do you remember answering the phone during your
reading? It was Miss [
873], calling for the first time.
Mrs. Kahn told me later that she and Mr. Kahn were listening
for the phone downstairs so as to not let it disturb us, but
never did hear it ring at all! Isn't that most peculiar?
She called later and said she had a friend who wanted a Life
Reading, a young lady [
1298] who has been offered a position
with archaeological research workers on an expedition to Siam
- and wants to know whether to accept. So Miss [
873]'s
interest and connection in regard to archaeology is working
out as per her Life Reading; also she said she had just
started a course under a Dr. Gordon* who was able to read a
sentence given in her Life Reading in another language.
Naturally she is all enthused. [Urdu, mixture of Hindu &
something else].
"I just give you all these details because we all think it is
so remarkable that she just happened to phone while you were
here. It shows how people are drawn in at the right time and
place. As well as I can remember her life reading, I believe
Miss [
873] was also in the group associated with Mrs. [
920] -
in the American period, just before this.
"It is certainly very interesting to watch these things work
out!"
Sincerely, Gladys Davis
* [Dr. Gordon [A. E. Strath-Gordon?], astronomer, world
traveller, lecturer, knows many languages, sees auras of
individuals immediately (according to [
873]).]
