(Body and enquiring mind - Questions)

EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [877]; this we have had before.
As to those conditions that have caused and do cause some anxiety to the body, we find that these in some directions have changed; while in others (that are more of a personal nature) they have become MORE disturbing, owing to some personal conditions that arise in the associations and the affairs of the body.
In reference to sale of home or property at Port Washington, we find that this has been in a manner considered; and through the North Shore Realty Corporation this may be handled, for those that have considered same. As we find, those individuals whom the body has thought well of considering same would be interested, and through these channels might become more so.
As to the sale of the company or seat, and the activities of the body in these directions, more and more would there be beneficial effects if the body were handling those activities through BANKING arrangements - rather than through the regular stock sales or through the organized stock sales, or to the market.
Hence we find that early, or by the latter portion of April, would be an excellent period for the disposing of such. And this would go naturally through the regular channels of same. Unless there are changes or some activities that would jeopardize the actions in this direction, this would be the proper time - twenty-third (23rd) or thereabout.

(Q) What can you tell me - MORE SPECIFICALLY - to do to sell my Sands Point house and relieve myself -
(A) (Interrupting) As indicated, through the North Shore Realty - and to those that have been as a prospect. This would offer a working opportunity at less expense to the body in OFFERING such an organization a prospective customer for same.
(Q) Should I do anything regarding seeing Norman Woolworth myself?
(A) As we find, it would be better handled through the corporation as just suggested.
(Q) As soon as house sold and this burden lifted, plan to sell out my stock exchange -
(A) (Interrupting) As indicated. And more and more in that which will deal with the true banking investments, or investment corporations, will prove the more satisfactory. As we find, these activities may be either through the government associations in foreign activities or in a local or in a domestic organization that makes a specialty of the handling of foreign securities, or handling investments of foreign individuals.
Hence government associations with such a domestic organization may be the better, see?
(Q) When will international banking position be open to me, what bank and where?
(A) This should be, as indicated, through government associations, or through a domestic organization that specializes in association WITH foreign organizations or investments.
(Q) Should I do any specific thing to help this along?
(A) It would be well to set self, as given heretofore, or to MAKE preparations for self, of self, by self; not only as to the connections but as to the offering of self in those directions, see?
As we find, there is a connection close to the body's activities that has to do with banking and foreign relations. Be very well through this channel; though of somewhat a political, yet a channel to present same.
(Q) I try to keep in tune with the Great I AM all the time. What can I do to get closer to I AM, how can I get clearer guidance, how can I work closer with the great WITHIN as directed by my previous reading?
(A) As given, and as in the activity of every individual, the WAY is open - ever. That is a natural heritage of each soul. Then, the practice of same, the application of same in the daily dealings, in the daily relationships - these bring within themselves that consciousness and that attunement wherein there may be the greater awareness of the I AM and the DIRECTING of self and self's abilities, and self's clarifying self in those directions. See?
(Q) I want to serve I AM in the best way possible and any help along this line will be followed implicitly - what shall I do?
(A) (Interrupting) This, as we have indicated, is to be achieved day by day, here a little, there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept. Not as rote, but rather as a LIVING experience that becomes so much the portion of self that it is felt, seen, known by all who may MEET the body in its daily activities!
A kind word, a gentle speech, even under the most trying circumstance, creates not only for self that attunement but makes same for others - or makes others aware of same.
This may be illustrated to the conscious mind by how the radio may be changed high or low; or to the perfect accord, and thus bring a unison that makes for not only perfect reception but perfect reaction upon those AFFECTED by same.
(Q) What is money - should it be based on gold or otherwise?
(A) Money is that medium of exchange that is agreed upon by individuals as a medium. It may be of this or that metal. As is commonly understood, gold is the standard. But, as indicated by the activities of nations, this merely becomes a medium; and it has not altered, does not alter, the activities of a group or of a nation or of a group of nations, so long as there is a UNISON of purpose.
For some fifty to sixty more years, though, gold will be considered the basis of consideration. But there will gradually be the waning, which has already been started by those who have not "gone off" only but who have made for activities with this as a CONSIDERATION but not as the standard.
(Q) What are the best investments now and for next few years - want to know to help clients?
(A) Those that have to do with communications, when considered for years. Those that are of allied industrials, that deal with preparations of war materials, for the next FEW months. But the industrials having to do with COMMUNICATIONS of all natures, for LONG terms.
(Q) Will present Government continue in Washington?
(A) Continue for its full period of useful activity.
(Q) Should the U.S.A. work closely with South America, and can I help in such work - how?
(A) Through the banking interests, and these should be drawn closer and closer. And the same form of communications of industrial natures holds good there.

4/13/36 NOTES FOR CHECK READING - [877-7]:
My whole financial position appears to revolve around the immediate sale of my Sands Point house. The sale of this property at, say, $200,000. Net (originally cost $375,000., and present offering price $300,000.) would enable me to clear my financial position in such a substantial manner as to make it possible for me to rearrange my business activities in such a way as to function according to my innermost desires and promptings. Consequently, I am ready and willing to do anything and everything which will accomplish the sale of my house and clear the way for the work that I want to do.
I have followed the suggestions contained in previous readings, particularly the suggestion in my last reading which indicated that the North Shore Realty Corporation would be the best channel to use. There is no North Shore Realty Corporation, but there is a North Shore Realty Agency at Flushing, Long Island, and the head of that business - Mr. Joseph Rubenfeld - is now actively at work trying to find a buyer for me, and I have given Mr. Rubenfeld every bit of assistance I possibly can, including suggestions as to potential buyers, such as Norman Woolworth, Frazier Jelke, etc.
In addition to the North Shore Realty Agency, all of the leading real estate brokers have my house listed and I have urged everyone of them to do their utmost, indicating that I would consider any reasonable offer, even though my asking price was $300,000.
I have told the North Shore Realty Agency that I would be willing to accept $100,000. cash, (which would clear my obligations directly connected with the house) and would take a mortgage for the balance of the purchase price, provided the buyer was a responsible person. I indicated that I would not accept a total purchase price of under $200,000.
I am most anxious to have guidance and help with regard to the above problem, and will be only too glad to follow any and all suggestions and instructions from the great I AM through his proven channel, Edgar Cayce. [877]
