This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of May, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [877], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [877]; this we have had before.
2. As we find, the general conditions of the physical forces are very well.
3. There are still those reactions in the system which cause some disturbance on certain portions of the body, from the effects of disturbances that have been indicated in the superficial circulation; indicated at times on ears, face - and at times on hands.
4. We find that those stimulations through the Hydrotherapy treatments would be in keeping with that which is best for same.
5. Locally we would apply of evening an oil; as Sweet Oil, as a softener and to prevent the scaly particles producing greater irritation.
6. Also we find it better to put as little water on same as possible, or as seldom as possible.
7. Internally we would take Codiron. The effect of the cod liver oil with the iron and the vitamins that will act upon the system will build better resistance. For this body, take two tablets twice a day, noon and evening, WITH the meal - and a small quantity of water just to swallow same, during the time the meal is taken. Take in this manner for five days, leave off three days and then take them again for five days, leave off three and take again. Keep repeating like this until at least four or five courses of five days each have been gone through with.
8. And we find that by that time there should be removed the greater cause of the disturbance.
9. Also when taking the Hydrotherapy treatment, whether the baths of one nature or another are being given, whether for the eliminations or the general massage of the body, we would take the time - five to ten minutes - to take the head and neck exercise; very slowly but very consistently, especially at such times.
10. Thus we will find the disturbances in the neck, at times that the eyes give, will be materially helped.

12. (Q) Is there anything else I can do to improve the condition of my eyes, with the idea of eventually being able to do away with my spectacles?
    (A) Those things as we have indicated. Of course, the eye exercises as given by some are well, but so long as there is the effect of the glandular disturbance - that is the basic cause of the disturbance to the superficial circulation - there will be needed glasses for strengthening, in close work. Otherwise we would have too great a strain upon the nervous system.
    But all of these effects will be helped if the courses as outlined are followed CONSISTENTLY and persistently; that is, to aid the system through the hydrotherapy massage treatments, to eliminate poisons produced, to take sufficient of the medicinal properties or the vitamins indicated to so build the system's resistance as to eliminate the causes of same.
    We would find, of course, there MIGHT be applied Lenore's Eczema Remedy on the ear and the back of ear. This would in a little while cleanse same, but it would only drive it into the SYSTEM, see?
    Hence we find that if the Sweet Oil is used instead, with the exercises and the properties indicated internally, while it would take longer, we would ELIMINATE THE CAUSES; thus make the way clearer for the stimulating for sensory activities to purify the system.
    Do that.
