To meet the needs of these conditions at the present time
would be to relieve, through application of heat to the
cerebro-spinal system, so that we have full relaxation, and
the correction of those centers, or those vertebras proper,
where lesions are formed, by adjustment, as well as by
reducing the lesions - which are shown to be internal and
circular in nature, these being the harder to form and harder
to reduce - then the necessary relaxation, through wet heat,
hot packs, or such nature, to the lumbar and lower dorsal,
correcting these conditions, taking, as we would say, at
least some twenty-six such adjustments, with the general
treatment, as would be applied either chiropractically,
osteopathically, or neuropathically, or ALL COMBINED, for the
muscular tissue, the nerve tissue, and the adjustments, are
all necessary to be stimulated by the adjusting and
manipulation, USING ALL in their proper way and manner.
With this correction, we will find that the incentive for
nerve reaction, the incentive for the proper rebuilding,
through proper assimilation, and eliminations stimulated to
near normal, we will have a bettered condition.
Those conditions in the returning of blood in the system have
reached such conditions that we would find the assistance in
taking medicinal properties that would give the action in
that manner better to coordinate with the correct
adjustments; such as would be found in using this: The
combination of Iodine, Calcidin, or Calcium, and of
Bromidia, or Bromides. These, in equal formation, will be
found to give the proper incentive for an equilibrium to be
established between nerve system and the tissue, and the
reaction through the glandular system, see? This should be
given under the direction of a physician, for the necessary
changes in the amounts to give under the condition, as will
be seen, will depend upon the reaction of the adjustments to
the nerve system, and the stimulation as has and will be
received through same.
Do that. The medicinal properties should cover at least a
period of ten to fifteen days. AFTER at least eight to ten
adjustments have been made, these would react better in the
system. We are through for the present.
BACKGROUND
7/09/26 Sister's letter: "...I have heard much about you in
the last few weeks through Dr. Elise Stone [N.D.] in
Montgomery... I am a graduate of her Southern College of
Neuropathy... I am very anxious to see this reading for my
brother..."
REPORTS
9/21/26 [
885]'s sister's letter to EC: "The reading made for
my brother [
885] was forwarded on to me in Chicago. It is
very interesting and fits the case very well. There isn't
much tho' that can be carried out from this reading or that
has not been used. [
885] was a 14 1/2 lb. baby - injured at
birth - was not expected to live. He has a large scar at
base of skull. He has had 3 x-rays of his spine made - one
spinous process is gone as result of injury. He has taken
MANY Chiropractic treatments. I am not at home to give him
Neuropathic treatments. We have no Osteopath or such
physician in our town. Of course we may be able to bring him
to these treatments in future. While at home this summer I
gave him about 1 weeks treatment. He said that I did loosen
the scar a bit. Physicians have refused to operate on scar -
because of possibility of paralysis. He did take Bromide but
is not [now?] under Dr. with Luminal. About 6 wks. is as
long as he goes without a nervous spell of nature of
epilepsy. Usually coming on waking. He hiked into Chicago
to see me and spent 1 wk. here - I have just finished a
course at Lindlahi's [Lindlahi's College of Natural
Therapeutics] in Physiotherapy and Mechano Therapeutics.
"The scar may not be responsible entirely - His condition as
regards toxins etc. - is as you stated - I cannot be with him
in immediate future but trust the suggestions will be carried
out at home. I shall do all possible to this end.
"I am expecting to go to ... next week."
Sincerely, [...] (Mail is always forwarded to me from ...,
Iowa.)
6/12/33 Letter from Mrs. [
2457] to EC: "Dr. [...] called me
yesterday for your address. She must want a reading for
[
885], I suppose. Dr. Elise Stone told me [
885] tried to
commit suicide by taking Luminal tablets, I believe she said.
Dr. Stone also said he was troubled with sciatica but
sometime Dr. Stone gets things wrong. I don't hear
anything here - have to go away to get the news."
4/03/35 Sister, Dr [...]'s letter: "Some 9 or 10 years ago I
had a reading for my brother, [
885]. It was not very
definite but he improved along lines the reading gave. Just
now he is in a very serious state and we do not know what is
best to do. The situation is so acute that I write hoping to
get an immediate reading. If you can do this, I will
appreciate it very much. Not knowing your present rates, I
enclose $10 and if cost is more kindly let me know, that I
may remit to you.
"The reading is for [
885], who will be found in his home in
..., Iowa. He does not know that I have asked for this
reading, and will you please send the reading to me... I
wish to have these questions asked, after the reading:
Would you advise institutional care for this patient? or is
it dangerous for him to be cared for in the home?
"Give name and address of any institutions that could benefit
this patient. Is there anything his sister, Dr. [...] can do
for him? Thanking you for your earliest attention to this, I
am... Dr. [...]. P.S. A few days delay might find him in
some institution and we want to do the best for him."
