This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 13th day of August, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... Road, Deal, N.J., and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretations and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer any questions which I will ask you regarding any of these.
2. EC: We have the body-mind and the enquiring forces of this mental development of the entity that brings those of the dream or vision to the entity that mean, through their projection of the various elements as are considered by the inductive forces of subconsciousness, the lessons as are presented, for with the knowledge as attained through this, the experience necessary for the entity's well rounding into that staunch bulwark against the temptations of that wicked force that pervades the flesh through the adherence to the desires thereof. Ready for dream.
3. (Q) Sunday Morning, August 9, at home in Deal. Words: "Will make you a first class business man."
   (A) The co-relating [correlating] of those truths as have been presented to the body from time to time, through those projections of the actions necessary in the physical body to receive the greater truths from lessons that have been given in the subconscious forces. These as seen, as recognized by the elements from within self, answers: Adherence to same will make the well-rounded business man. A truth, a lesson. Then adhere to same.
4. (Q) Tuesday Morning, August 11. [4353], an old friend of mine, was seated at the piano playing. She said: "I am sorry I ever took anything from you." "How can you be," I replied, "when you know the spirit with which I gave to you?" Then I saw my mother lying on a couch.
   (A) This, as we see, the presentation of the truths as have been given in the spirit in which the entity performs its service for friend and foe alike, and as is seen in the various planes as are presented in a friendship for friendship sake, a resting of those who might require the same friendship, or friendship action from duty sake, both presented in that way and manner as is recognizable to the entity: "How can you, when you know the spirit in which this or that has been given?" One spirit, one mind, and that mind One with the GREAT MIND, for the will's influence in same yields those powers over which the bodily actions are viewed by others, see? The building of self, mentally and morally, truthfully and spiritually, comes then from within. The lesson then, a presentation to body, [900], of the spirit of thanksgiving from others to self, sacrificing of self in the spirit of helpfulness to others in service and in self.
5. (Q) My mother was in bed and I seemed not to be physically well. A nurse was in attendance. There seemed to be some warning that I should not bathe, but I took a bath and upon coming out said: "I feel very weak," and fell into the nurse's arms as I felt for my heart.
   (A) These, as we see, the presentations then of both strength and weakness in self, and as a condition recognizable in self, the warning, as it were, of how, with the awakening of the God-Spirit from within, the body-mind, mental mind, body mind, soul or body WHOLE must rely in faith upon the strength of the GIVER of strength and not in acquired strength as is given or taken in absolution of body, in bath see? or as in rest as would be seen from those for whom the entity and from whom the entity would obtain knowledge. The knowledge assisting self, see? in rather the better understanding of power of self acquired through the full belief and reliance in the Giver of strength, rather than of self's strength. Discernment necessary.
6. (Q) Early Wednesday Morning, August 12. "Saw a train and I was going on a journey somewhere. Seemed to be some reference to my being vaccinated."
   (A) This, as we see, representing and presenting to the body the necessity in movement of self in body, mind, soul and in spirit element, that the greater truths may guide, guard and direct the body, mentally, morally, physically and in every manner in the way as is set before the entity. That is, there is not standing still, as it were, to attain or to gain, save as would be given in the injunction as has been given, "Be STILL and hear what the Lord hath to say." Not as fear, no - but as being of a portion of THAT MIGHT, see? Not to be puffed up, not to be gloating over others, not to be self-centered or of selfish motives, but that the oneness of Him may be made manifest in this body, [900].
7. (Q) "Words, questioning why I didn't give somebody some of Pan Pet Stock I sold short."
   (A) This, as we see, the mental development of the entity, attaining to that knowledge of the necessity of the physical entity giving, that it might receive. Not other than that the lesson is presented to the body, and the body-mind in every way become cognizant of the fact, see? Not that anyone is left out, but that the entity is conscious, physically so, of the necessity of giving that it might receive.
8. (Q) Does this in any way indicate I neglected someone I shouldn't have?
   (A) No.
9. (Q) Does it in any way indicate wrong use of Pan Pet information?
   (A) No. Rather the manner in which it has been given that the entity becoming conscious (to which each one must arrive to gain the highest forces within self) of the necessity of action, see?
10. (Q) Was on a football team and [137] was on opposing team. I decided to play at right end, but because I had to play against Cyril Haas, a great player next week, I decided to conserve my strength and play left end this week. Besides [137] was opposing right end this week and I didn't want to oppose him, first because I didn't want to oppose my brother and secondly because I felt stronger than he and didn't want to be his physical opponent. But the fellow opposite me at left end was a big husky fellow. The signal given, we started play and there was a general tumble or mass play and I felt myself under a heap of players. We tried to hold them as a Wall and I saw a wire wall behind me. "Mighty rough," I said to myself "but it's all in the Play."
    (A) In this we see the emblematical conditions as are presented to the body of the mental development of same, see? Mental development of the body-mind, [900], as is compared to others of same cult or associations and associating same with those in close brother relations and those who are recognized as of strength of mind and of abilities in the field of learning, see? We also find this represents the physical conditions as is made applicable by the mental forces of the body obtaining that perfect understanding of the spiritual elements entering in from every source. That is, physical conditions have their spirit force, same as is spoken of, or might be termed, the spirit of the Wall Street broker, see? This force is applied, then, by the entity in both fields, see? Then, as it is seen, the entity reasons from both forces as to how both shall be made applicable in the life of same. Do not cross the two. Do not mix these, save in each sphere keep them in their sphere, applying same in the correct manner, for as the scramble, the tumble, will come in each, the back strength is of the wall as of the wire in which again strength would be renewed within, may be seen within self, physically, mentally, financially, see? Study self well, keeping in that way in which the strength in each may be conserved, for all of the ways of the world are not compatible with understandings of many, see? but the truth makes one free indeed.
