Edgar Cayce Readings, 900-152

(Q) Tuesday Morning, Oct. 27, 1925, at home. It seemed [4255] was giving a big dinner party and [137], [140], Ma [106], [4255] and I were having our first course in a separate room, at a special table. Ma was complaining to [4255] about [137] not receiving proper food and attention. "We do all we can for him," said [4255]. "He doesn't look or show it," replied Ma. I felt the embarrassment of the situation, felt sorry all around and so wished Ma wouldn't talk that way. I tried to cover things up by starting to sing and make a clown of myself. Ma was indomitable, however, and at the end of the course we all rose to finish the meal at the big table in the main dining room. "There is so much to eat," I thought. "I am full - have had plenty," and wished I could escape the whole business. As we went through the rooms, [4255] stopped me and said: "[900], will you get me a bottle of Citrate of Magnesia?" "Sure!" I said, happy to get out - to do something and not have to eat more for politeness' sake. As I went out of the door on my errand, [4255] came up to me and putting her arms around me hugged and kissed me. "O," she said, "I love you so." I was so surprised - I didn't know what had hit me (to put it in the common parlance). She seemed starved for love and I was sorry and I was happy to do something for her. I went out and as I walked on the street, thought: "Now, if I could just write a good story. Wouldn't Ma make a great story? She must yet return to the physical to learn, yet in a stage of advanced development she will return as a great ruler - what a fantastic, odd story I could write of that!" The wonder of it all dawned upon me - the Truth of phenomenized expressions of God in Earth plane - and just as I did in the theatre the night before - realizing the Truth - its greatness, wonder, beauty - my little ability to have others see it - the tears came. Then the Voice: "[900], what you want is money in your Institute Treasury - isn't it?" "God knows I do," I replied. The Voice: "The Time has come - it is at hand!" Again the something about the heart, the emotion at the realization that greater, more beloved than Father, Mother, or Earthly ties or power - is the Holy Spirit of all - God. I was crying as I entered the drug store. I entered the drug store and asked the clerk to give me the medicine. Among other things, he gave me a pail with chocolate in it. "I don't want that," I told him - "I want Magnesia for [4255]." "Yes," he answered. "I am pouring that in now." "O," I questioned, "is this Citrate of Magnesia?" pointing to a sort of tin oil can from which the medicine was flowing into the tin bucket, making a chocolate mixture. "Yes," he answered. It didn't look good to me - who takes Magnesia and Chocolate together? Make 'em sicker than ever.
(A) In this we find the conditions as are existent in the physical plane regarding the developments of the body-mind, [900], with those of other physical minds as related to each. Are given, then, in an emblematical form those conditions that, from which, [900] may gain strength, power and much understanding in watching same develop. Then as this:
There is seen in the food, in the separate dining room, in the conversation, the condition existent in the physical mind of that one lacking the perfect understanding and shown the conditions as are seen, and those preventing the perfect understanding of same. The seeking, then, to be rid of food, or from necessity of taking same, realizing the entity has gained that fullness of knowledge of that being studied, that only could the entity but give to others that understanding as is seen by self - the great change, the fullness of same that would come to each.
In being asked to get that medical property, that help, is seen how the action on that as asked for same, necessary to have something of the same nature to work on the mental, spiritual, physical, conditions of this entity to bring about the change necessary for, as it were, some of it to "soak in" - see? This then, as is seen in the change in the entering of the drug store, into the change as is seen, as the medicinal properties being changed from that of the medicinal properties in its form, showing how sweet and bitter, or sweet and sour - how the various properties in the life of the individual will be necessary to come in for same to gain the understanding. As is seen in the question, or in the Voice as is given, "[900], now is the Time" - that now at hand is the time when monies will be given to the entity. Now is the time when those abilities to write are being given to the entity. Now is the time when the brother will have the more perfect understanding. Now is the time when those conditions will come about, bringing that in the life of [4255] in which there will be made to bring that necessary for the more perfect understanding and to assist, rather than to retard, in the development of [137]. Now is the time that all of these understandings will come, more and more, to be understood by all, for as is seen in the vision of that experienced physically and recognizable in the subconscious force, as the entity itself gaining more and more of the knowledge necessary to bring about those conditions; remembering then EVER, through the abilities of even weak flesh minds there is given that manifestation of God, the Father, for man is the highest conception of God in the earth plane, and through man, man must be reached, and God's forces manifest in that given direction. Then, BE THAT CHANNEL, in the humbleness of heart, of mind, knowing those conditions that so easily beset, yet with the forewarned, with the foreknowledge, knowing the necessities in the lives of each. Then give self.
