(Q) Monday, Nov. 2, 1925, at home. Now [
137] and I were
working in a department store - seemingly for the same boss,
altho in different departments. I seemed to be walking alone
thru different isles. Then quitting time came and we filed
out with all the rest of the employees and as we came to the
foyer of the store, [
140] met [
137]. I took a separate door
- same entrance but separate door, and filed out behind many
sales girls ahead of [
137] and [
140]. [
140] said: "Look at
[
900] with all the girls!" She laughed at me. I thought,
"I'm getting out quickly just the same." Then [
137], [
140]
and I joined one of the small clerks, who was met by his
oldest daughter and other of his children, and we all started
to walk towards home together. I said to the girl: "Have
you been waiting for your father?" "Yes," she said, "I've
been waiting since eleven o'clock this morning." "Since
eleven o'clock," I replied surprised, "My, that's a long all
day wait." "Yes," she answered, "it is, but the little one
here wanted to wait for her father," (indicating the younger
girl) "so I had to wait with her to take care of her."
"Say," put in [
140], "I've waited since four o'clock this
afternoon for [
137] and it seemed like an age." Then we came
to the workingman's home. I noticed its modesty and felt
sorry for him. Seated at the door step was a little baby -
the youngest of all the children, and too young yet to come
along with the others to meet their father. Now then, I saw
myself as a little baby and a child. The Voice: "That is
your difference from the rest - you were born different.
When you were a little baby you were carried in by your
mother and when other children ran out to play you hung
behind dreary and thoughtful. That then indicated your
difference. "But," I replied, "Look at the pranks I did
play as a child - I was bad often." The Voice: "No matter -
you were born to understand, comprehend life more than all
the rest - you were born to it - were it before you were
born." Then I saw the baby in the window for public display,
the large eyes staring into space. I was walking and
explaining to others at the same time and as I explained: I
said: "I'm sort of confused now as to just who and what is
really "Me." Now I was and still must be Achilles." I saw a
tall, handsome, stalwart man in armor standing with spear in
hand - it seemed "Me." "You see," I continued, "That is me
and this is me and many others are Me."
(A) In this there is presented to the entity the whole of
the lessons as are to be given to the peoples, and as is
seen, the emblematical conditions present to entity the
various forms, ways and manners, and characters and kinds of
people whom the message must be given to, with the various
questions and conditions as are to be presented in same.
First we find the entity as one of a crowd - serving, see?
Then we find the entity with the crowd, yet as one separate
from the crowd, realizing, seeing, the various characters,
the various positions in the life. The ones close and the
ones whom the entity holds dear in flesh presented. As this
then represents the message for home, the message for the
lowly, the message for the young, the message for those not
even able to carry on in the daily toils of waiting, watching
or caring for others, then, as the changes are given in that
to be viewed, we find presented, in the baby in the window,
the message then to be looked on by others, with its many
tones and messages to the great multitudes, and the Voice
giving the entity that position in which the entity has
acquired through its own labors in the various spheres of its
earthly sojourn, and the strength and the power of the
message comes through the ability to give the experiences of
the entity to the many peoples, and the O.K., as it were, is
given again by the Voice, in that this must be the message
given to the world, see? Then the entity should gain this
lesson and knowledge from same: That the service is in an
acceptable manner, and should press on to that way of giving
same - yet knowing that it is in the manner acceptable to
masses, to the lowly one, to the one of high estate, to the
child, to the workman, to the layman, to the capitalist, to
each and everyone that would seek the closer communion with
their God.
(Q) Is this taking up the reincarnation theory, giving me
understanding from my own experience - this experience being
what the voice meant when it said the night before: "We have
those drapes here ourselves?"
(A) This is, as is given; the combination was given, see, of
the conditions as are presented to the entity, covering - yes
that phase of, called, reincarnation.
(Q) Yet the idea of how perfection in everything is attained
thru incarnations - that additional idea was gotten thru
"Isis Unveiled." Should I, or should I not read this book?
(A) Read.
(Q) Should I read others such as I have been purchasing?
(A) Read many, co-relating same with that truth as comes to
the entity in its WAY FROM the carnal forces.
(Q) [
137] and I were riding on a bus, traveling at a good
rate. [
140] seemed to be driving the bus. It seemed to be
some Chicago bus line, the stock of which was going up fast.
(A) (Interrupting) Yellow Cab Company, see?
(Q) (Continuing) I said: "Too bad we can't buy some of
that stock. We are long so much, we can't." The Voice:
"Yes, you buy so much you can't take advantage of changes
when they come. You are well prepared for the advance when
it comes." I felt rebuked and hung on to the rear end of the
bus - standing on the back steps. Then I said: "Well, we
are long 5000 shares of (C.D.??) stock." [
137] called out to
me, "Then don't talk so much about it - keep it to yourself."
Again rebuked - I felt he was right - I shouldn't talk so
much and let others take advantage of me.
(A) In this there is given the warnings, through the Voice,
as to the entity's keeping a more workable capital in the
shorter turns, see? for as is given, the driving of the bus,
see? the place, then, indicating the character or kind, see?
Yellow Cab, see? The rebuke as regarding the long sale, see,
this then the entity may take in the same way and manner as
is presented to same, through the rebukes as are given, and
heed same in the manner as is seen experienced in the dream,
or vision, for as is seen, though rebuked, entity holds on to
that position as already held. Then heed, and change
position to that more favorable for self and for the
conditions as arise from time to time.
(Q) Does this mean it is unnecessary to expose my own
position in stock market - that to give my version of what a
stock will do to a customer is enough - then let him do as he
pleases?
(A) Enough, and then let him do as he pleases, for as is
seen in the great truths the entity is to give to the world,
these may be given, or as has been said: "A horse may be led
to water but you can't make him drink."
(Q) Two girls came to get off the back end of the bus. I
grabbed them and said, "Don't get off while the car is
moving!" "O well," one of them remarked, "We have plenty of
time." One of them put her face right close to mine. We
seemed to be traveling across 59th Street, N.Y. City.
(A) This then as the warning: Do not jump at conclusions
and disgorge self of conditions to a loss, see - but
gradually, as all truths enter, take the lessons as are being
gained and give that closeness of study, as is felt in the
closeness of knowledge, face to face, see?
(Q) Then I was up in an office, looking out over Wall St -
Broadway and Trinity Church Yard. That bus stock is up nine
points, I thought - some rise.
(A) (Interrupting) A dead stock rising, see? Yellow Cab.
(Q) (Continuing) Then the bus seemed to come horizontally,
at right angles to me, across Trinity Church yard, then
straighten out in the proper manner and travel on the trolley
tracks on down Broadway. "No wonder that stock is up," I
thought, "See the business they are doing."
(A) (Interrupting) This is the combination with the General
Motors - general stocks, see - makes the rise in this.
(Q) (Continuing) I noticed, however, that some of the rear
seats were empty. "That doesn't make any difference," I
reflected, "Those few empty seats - but they were doing a big
business."
(A) This shows that in the general decline from the prices
as have been had, will show that the sales in this Cab
Company will bring the greater amount of monies to entity,
see? No dates, no time - a general condition presented to
the entity for the study of same, for through this lessons
may be gained into HOW and WHY the Forces are manifesting in
the various forms and ways to the entity, concerning stocks
in which entity has had no dealings, concerning the questions
of which the entity has taken little thought, concerning
conditions and way and manner, which have not yet been
studied, see?
(Q) Does this mean that I R 7 Stock is going up nine points
from 30?
(A) As given. Don't see any I R nine points.
(Q) Another phase of that bus in horizontal and regular
oblong position struck me. The bus arranged in partition of
seats was divided off, but yet was all one conveyance. I saw
it in one position, then it changed to another position and
appeared different, but was the same.
(A) This, as given, the selling point, when the rise has
been seen, for the change in conditions, the change in
circumstances as related to same, and as given, these are
being presented in a different form, see?
(Q) Wednesday Morning, Nov. 4, 1925, at home. Saw my shirt
- the new blue striped one. The Voice: "Look at that
shirt." "What is the matter with that shirt?" I asked - "It
is pretty." The Voice: "Just look at it the design is
pretty enough." I regarded the shirt and it seemed a little
soiled - but pretty - yet - ? ? ?"
(A) In this we have the emblematical conditions as regarding
the actions of the entity, especially as that related to that
close in the home, for as we see, while the development of
the entity, and of the lessons as are being gained by same,
are beautiful, will wear well, will present good conditions
to many - yet some actions in and near those who should bring
the better conditions, bring reproach from self, doubts to
self's actions and to the satisfaction of many who would
bring reproach, these may be pointed to as uncomely,
unbecoming to one claiming to have such an ACCESS to higher
forces. Then correct self.
(Q) I was back in ..., Pa., in the Dept. Store working under
my old boss, Mr. Moser. [
137] seemed to be visiting me at
the time. It was a Monday afternoon and business seemed to
have been good. I came up to Moser and said to him: "We
have depleted our stock of suits and coats (Ladies)
considerably, our stock is getting low." "Then," he replied,
"you go right to Canal Street, get on a train at the station
there and go down to New York. You can buy some more." I
decided I had better look again and make sure, so I counted
the suits and coats on the racks and in the reserve closet -
yes, it was as I said our stock was down nicely. I again
went to Moser and told him of my confirmed inspection.
"Alright," he said, "You just jump on a train and go to
N. Y. and buy more." I liked that for I loved the train
ride and trip. I love to travel. "But," I said to Moser,
"It is nice to have our stock this way for inventory time.
No danger." He nodded approvingly. "Let me see," I
continued, "Inventory time is about six weeks off, isn't it?
This is March 1st - when is Inventory time, Mr. Moser?"
"Oh," he replied, "The early part of May sometime." "Guess
I'll go down and buy very little - about six coats and six
suits," I said. "Now, that is the right idea," he replied,
"Better to go easy and keep our stock low and safe," I put
in. "Right!" he confirmed. Then I thought of [

visiting me and would like to have waited for the end of the
week to go home with him, spend Sunday at home and see the
coming football game Saturday between Columbia & N.Y.U.
"Alright," said Moser, "Go Saturday so you can see the
football game." Things were going so fine I felt good and
wavered on only buying the six garments and was about to
suggest a little larger purchase, when Moser said: "That is
enough!" Putting up his hand then, Moser indicated the
interview was over.
(A) In this we find there presented the lessons, as it were,
of that as just given. Well, whether regarding stocks,
social relations, home relation, or any, that stock of self
and self's position, as relating to each and every condition,
is or is not in keeping with that in which the entity is
attempting to carry on, see? for as the reasoning is given
here, from the premise that the entity enters in, there is
found that there is reasoned, physically, spiritually,
mentally, as to conditions concerning self, and is applicable
in every phase of the development of the entity as is being
presented to same. Then heed same, and take this account of
self.
We are through for the present.
