(Q) A quarrel with Ma and [
137], particularly my mother,
with reference to [
136]. My mother came in with some sewing
and I was in my dressing gown. My mother or [
137] started
criticizing [
136]. "All right," I said to [
137], "I'll
remember that hurt. I won't forget it." [
137] shrugged as
though to say, "I should worry!" Ma joined in with [
137] -
they all seemed to join in taking a wallop at [
136]. In
despair I said to Ma: "I don't know what I am going to do,
Ma." [She said,] "I'm sure I don't either, [
900]." "But you
are constantly picking on that poor kid," I said. Then
[
137], swinging over to my side, "That is true, Ma, everybody
is noticing how you pick on [
136]." I could hold in no
longer and getting up from the couch strode over to my mother
and cried: "It's just that you are mercenary. You judge
people by their pocketbook. If she had brought me much
wealth, you would have overlooked all of what are in your
eyes faults, but since I am bringing her a better position
you look upon her as an intruder to be brought under our
rule. It isn't fair, just or kind." Then I burst out crying
and dropping back on the sofa, put my head in my arms and
cried bitterly. [
137] seemed to maintain his middle position
between us. The thing seemed hopeless and there seemed no
solution.
(A) In this, again we see that general condition as is
present in the mental forces of the entity, and which force
is being builded against at times. The constant reoccurrence
of such conditions in the normal faculties give rise to the
expression of same in the dream, as is seen here, and is as a
general rather than specific condition, and as has been given
in that as has been given as "All well," in this the entity
will find that through these same forces that comply in self
to those mental attributes of body-physical, body-mental, to
the subconscious forces same will bring forth that seemingly
impossible solution to the physical conditions that arise
through such from time to time, for as is seen in, though one
may seemingly force, start, that condition which brings
trouble, which brings consternation, which brings displeasure
to self, to others, through mercenary conditions, through
mental conditions, through social position, through the
various effects of the intercourse of the physical forces in
life, through those same principles as are being complied and
applied within the entity's mental development, all will be
met in their time, their order, as the development of entity
goes forward in that way as is set, for as is seen and known,
that force which sets one apart for those needs of the great
masses and peoples, all such have their counter-balance in
the way that keeps every phase of human experience in that
channel that would guide and direct aright, when the faith,
the trust, is put in Him, the Giver of all good gifts. Amen.
(Q) For the second time I was on my way to Jersey to
negotiate a sale of some lots. We owned some there and it
seemed someone wanted to buy the lots for $5000 and I saw
myself on the train on my way to the place, in a nearby
Jersey suburb, where [
137] and I owned the property. The
trouble was that it seemed I had to negotiate my transaction
before the market opened, so as to satisfy [
137]. I looked
at my watch. It was about 8:15 or 8:20 - could hardly be
done before 10, and I wondered what [
137] would say. Yet I
reflected [
137] was away, but in communication with us by
wire, but still I wanted to do my work - do everything right
- I had made it before if only the train would hurry - it was
only a suburb station. Besides it would be a great sale if
I consummated it but it may not go through. I had to hurry
before the market opening. I would try.
(A) In this the entity finds presented, in an emblematical
form (beautifully put) that of the condition existent in the
mental forces of entity in the work attempting to be done by
self, and as that injunction is seen in the end: "I will
try, I will comply as near as possible to those conditions in
the normal sense, that relation between those whom duty is
felt, duty is due, and with that known to be best for self,
for others, if carried through." These all, as we see, are
pictured together, see? And as is given, "I will try. I
will do that I see to be the right, and bring all as near to
that position of doing the right way, in the right manner, in
the right time, as my abilities, as my conditions allow,"
see? for as is seen in this, should ever be the watchword of
this entity: Trusting in Him, the Holy Spirit, the Giver of
the Universal Forces as are manifested through the creation
of His Hand, "I will ever strive to be that channel through
whom He may manifest to His children, my brothers."
(Q) One I cannot remember. Recall and interpret.
(A) This, as we see, relating to that bus and the track as
runs between the large buildings. A portion only came, and
only a portion may be incipient to the mind of the entity.
Wait until it occurs again.
(Q) Friday night, Nov. 27, at home, while reading. I saw
[
136] standing on the streetcar tracks allowing traffic to
pass her on both sides. She was waiting to cross over the
other half of the avenue and as no trolleys were coming and
traffic seemed not to be extraordinarily heavy, [
136] seemed
in no immediate danger. The place seemed 42nd Street where
the Broadway trolley (some of them) swings East onto 42nd
Street. It may not have been this place, but that was my
impression. Suddenly an automobile, speeding, swung around
the corner - I heard a crash and my impression was that [
136]
was hurt.
(A) In this we see rather that of the mental forces of
entity taking in that portion of the love influence in the
life, that manner of that law as regards protection to those
whom that adoration holds dear to self and akin to that law
of preservation of the species, for in this is rather that of
the mental forces being projected than of the physical
condition as would be of a warning for accidental
conditions. Rather that the warning should be that the
guard, the conditions as relate to the protection of self
in the individual as seen, should be given more and more
that injunction of care and of the way to protect self, see?
for as is seen in the place, 4 - 2 - 6, this the culmination
in numbers of that of the doubled 3, see? and in tracks 2
and in car 1, again 3, see? and in that look, in that way
of the numbers of the traffic as seen, all, we see then,
come as numerical value in the expression of warnings in
physical than of warnings in particular set time or place,
or condition.
(Q) Co-relate this with that seen by [
136] in dream of her
own.
(A) We haven't that as yet. [See
136-21 at 3:10 P.M. on
11/30/25, immediately after 900-166.]
(Q) Saw my mother rising from a couch with what seemed a
pained expression, as though something hurt her.
(A) Again a projection of conditions as will come to
individuals, and a warning as to the care that should be
taken, and as the warning that should be given to the mother
for the care of self to prevent the reoccurrence of those
conditions as pertain to the physical health, as regarding
the condition existing in the kidney and pelvic organs, see?
(Q) Saw a red and white striped pencil. This impression of
a pencil being handed me very distinct.
(A) The new method of those presentations to the entity of
the messages as will be coming to the entity from time to
time, see? For as is seen in the red and in the white, and a
pencil, the message, the truth, and that blood with the red,
and the combination being the entity's development in each.
(Q) Number "62."
(A) This, as we see, refers to those numerical conditions
again, the mind, the mental forces, attempting to gain that
meaning of those conditions as have been presented. 6 - 2 -
8, in these forces the doubleness of 4, as is seen, either
the weakness or the strength made by the mental development
of entity - self.
(Q) Does this refer to price of a stock? If so, which
stock?
(A) As given, to the mind development in the entity of those
numerical significances as are given.
(Q) Saturday morning, Nov. 28, at home. I got off a train
and saw my uncles' & (deceased) grandmother's home in ...,
Indiana. Some mission I had gone to fulfill was not
successful. I was blue and sorry. I had not brought the
bacon home, so to speak. Then the scene changed to what was
a combination of business and home two rooms with a little
bath or something between. Wormser was there and I felt they
- my partners and those about me were dissatisfied with me.
I remarked something a girl said to me and I answered
something about a boy and she replied cuttingly, "Yes, there
is too much 'BOY' here, if you ask me!"
(A) In this, again we see those projections into the
entity's forces that are the conditions existing in the
mental force of the entity, in the work being done, see?
That is, as is seen in the projection of the home in the
distance, the inability to carry out that as being attempted,
the feeling of disconsolation, the feeling of dismay,
distrust in self in not being able to accomplish that which
is felt, the feeling of the disappointment in others at the
turn in self, the seeing of that individual who has brought
often to the mind of the entity that of the criterion of the
work as being attempted in a physical manner in the material
world, that of these forces, all show to the entity those
forces as present themselves to the development of self from
time to time. Again the weaknesses, as is seen in one saying
"too much boy" in self, in entity, for the accomplishment of
the work that is set before same. Then the entity should
take this lesson: Take heart from those things as are seen,
knowing that in Him there is truth, in Him there is all
strength, in Him there is all age, there is all knowledge,
and through the correct application of self to those laws,
this entity may draw upon all of this resource for strength,
for health, for wealth, for all the elements that may be
manifested in the physical world, in spiritual sense.
(Q) Then I put some money in a bureau drawer. The girl
advised me not to put it there. "It's alright, I guess," I
said. I went into the little in-between room to wash my
hands. Then I thought of the money in the drawer and began
to wonder if it wasn't good advice. I locked the door
leading to that room and as I turned to lock the door leading
to the other room, I had the impression someone was breaking
in, and before I could lock the door a man burst in and
pointed what I thought was a revolver at me. In fright I
jumped back and threw up my hands. He seemed aggressive - to
no good purpose - yet he had no revolver as I first thought.
(A) This, in the emblematical form, presenting to the entity
those same truths as have just been given, in the
presentation of the conditions existing in the physical
sense in the mental forces of the entity, and in showing in
the different manner the usage of the truths as are being
gained by entity. As to locking same in a drawer, as to
putting same in a place where those who may break through,
as it were, and take from, through the physical forces in
the material world; rather give them into the lives, the
hearts, of men, that the truth may ever mount upward to the
correct, to the direct, to the ONE WAY.
We are through with this reading.
