This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of Apt. ..., ... St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I shall ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind here, [900]. This we have had before. The dreams, as we see, come in the various forms and manners, as have been given for the entity, and are that portion of the cosmic forces as give the experience to the body-mind in its gaining the consciousness of the truths as are presented from time to time, through physical and mental study being correlated in the subconscious in this manner. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, 1925, at home. Was riding on a train from Kansas City to N.Y. City and it seemed we had to come right back on the train to Kansas City again. An older man was seated opposite. He said: "Such a long trip is tiresome - one's legs ache right here," (indicating above the knees) "from sitting so long." "Yes," I concurred, "it's tiresome," and felt the pain in my legs.
   (A) In this we find presented in the emblematical form those conditions in the physical body that should be looked after by the physical forces of [900], for as is seen in this, the indication of not sufficient of the physical exercises taken by the body. Should walk more, see?
4. (Q) Voice: "She," (meaning [136], my wife) "has in you a good Rabbi."
   (A) This the indication of coming conditions to the bodies as seen, see?
5. (Q) Wednesday night, Nov. 4, at home, while reading RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCES by Wm. James. Voice: "Religion is essentially a consideration of the Fourth Dimension."
   (A) This a truth-literal in the concept of the mental forces of the entity, as with all others.
6. (Q) So great was my surprise that on becoming completely conscious I tried to find the above words on the page I was reading and altho of course nowheres to be found, correlated perfectly with the subject matter I was reading. So the Voice may speak in one term, taking the style of James or Confucius, as the case may be. Many mistake this for the spirit of James, or Confucius, taking control of the physical body and expressing a thought - is this not so?
   (A) This is true.
7. (Q) Religion, of course, is essentially a consideration of Immortal Life and the Elemental Causation World - thus of the 4th dimension life and world. Is this not so?
   (A) True.
8. (Q) Thursday morning, Nov. 5, at home. First I saw an oblong box, coffin shaped, the sides of which were marked A-B-C-D- as 1-2-3-4 [See Source File Key #900 for rectangle [diagram] illustration of 3rd and 4th dimensions re 900-167].
   Now the Voice did some explaining [See note in paragraph above]:
   "A - Line of Life

   B - Surface of Life
C - 3 dimensions of Life"
D - Here not clear but went on to illustrate as follows
- seeming to bring 4th dimension into 3rd dimension
illustration, as follows:

   I saw Jessie Baer in our office and showed him a picture of the above [diagram].
   There was a picture of an automobile in the corner and Meyer Half told Jessie it was an old Rumbler car - but a good Buy - the stock at least was. "Why don't you take a crack at it, Jessie?" I asked. "Oh," he derided, "Harriman recommended that." "Oh," I replied smilingly, "it is only 3 dimensional - it can only grow smaller or larger (referring to oblong box), can only go one of two ways. "You see, Meyer," I continued, turning to Meyer Half, "you see, Jessie just hasn't the money to put up as margin. He just hasn't got it" - I repeated. Then I saw Jean Stark come up from downstairs. "Now here is a different sort," I said to Meyer, holding my 3 and 4 dimensional solid out in front but pointing to Jean Stark, "He has it, but won't put it up. He has it alright," I repeated, "but you can't get it out of him."
   (A) In this we see exemplified to the entity the manifestations of the consciousness of the 3rd, 4th, 1st, 2nd dimensional life in the physical plane. As is seen in the lines and their representing numbers and letters, and the various conditions as are able to be grasped by the mind of man, with given lines, the preposition or supposition of the conditions show the whole solid, or the whole condition as represented. Either area that may be filled, or void, which may have boundaries, see?
   In that of the individuals that are seen, again we have the same lessons presented in the different manners. As one with a desire, another with the desire and knowledge without means, another with the knowledge and means without desire, another with the knowledge, the means, the desire, yet without the active forces of putting each or any of same into operation - see? These represent, then, as the 1st, the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th dimensional life, in the terms of the entity's own physical or daily experiences.
9. (Q) Does this in any way co-relate with that I was reading in James regarding Spinoza's assertion that he could show or illustrate any man's desires by lines, surfaces and solids; thus the two illustrations, Jessie Baer and Jean Stark - the first seemingly to be beyond the capability of ever understanding other than the desires of that represented by 3 dimensions, whereas Jean Stark may if he "Will," use the abilities or mental capabilities he possesses of comprehending that represented by the desires of the inner and higher Man - the desire for 4th dimension fullness, 4th dimension wisdom, for its vision and to express that represented by the "Whole" Life - expressing all sides of life, including the 4th dimension - not only the 3 sides? Is this the lesson?
   (A) This the lesson.
10. (Q) Explain fully that intended, for [900] looks forward with utmost anticipation to an experience that will bring the greatest joy of life - the knowledge of 4th dimension life.
    (A) This is as this experience here, by the mind, the mentality of [900], for there is seen in the physical, in the manner in which the various conditions are presented to the mind, that [900] gains the knowledge, yet is presenting same to others with their various portions of same, [900] only having the whole knowledge of same, see?
    Just as we see presented in that as has been written, compiled by the mental forces of [900], in collaboration with the lessons, the truths, as have been gained by the mind and the mental body of the entity as regarding phenomena in the material world. Only needing the editing of same to be presentable to those who would be glad to publish same, either in the magazines or in pamphlet, or in both, see? for these have given the greater insight into the truths as are being sought by many. Keep them, and follow and build and make same a portion of the living life, for as is seen in the vision of the 4th dimensional plane in block, in coffin, in line, in plane, in action, regarding individuals of different states or positions, with the knowledge, with desire, with the various portions, all necessary for a use to be in action. Then, inactivity is a lack of the knowledge of any given force.
