This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of December, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of Apt. ..., ... St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you the interpretation and lesson to be gained from same, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind of [900]. This we have had before. The dreams, the visions, the voices as come to the entity are as of those forces given to the entity the lessons, the developments, as may be and are attained through the attitude, the at-oneness, the attempts to gain by the physical mind those insights into the laws regarding the phenomenized forces made manifest in the material world. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Friday, December 4, at home. While reading Life of Christ - that part expounding Christ's law of loving one's enemies, the Voice: "TO HATE THEM WOULD BE TO HATE YOURSELF.
   (A) This, as we see, giving to the physical concept, as it were, in common parlance, the O.K. to those lessons as being gained by entity, and which are being applied in the life, and from which the results will and are being attained, for as the greater understanding comes to entity of that life which made mankind more in attune with that Oneness of the Holy One, the understandings will come more in that way in which the perfect lesson may be attained that this entity, [900], is to give his fellow man, co-relating the laws of the Universe in the physical manner, the laws of the Universe pertaining to moral, to religious, to social, to the various concepts of that as is religious life of those seeking the At-Oneness with the Divine Giver of all good and perfect gifts.
4. (Q) First, of course, to hate one entity is to hate a part of the Whole, which Whole we in elemental all are - including myself. Myself and my enemy are really one.
   (A) Really one, from that concept of the Life which the entity is to expand, propound, impel men to gather the insight of, that a better service may be rendered unto their fellow man, for in service to man is service to self, and lending to the Lord.
5. (Q) Even in phenomenized life disharmony of hate brings suffering to my mental forces - self condemnation - and a feeling of
   (A) (Interrupting) Correct.
6. (Q) "The buzz saw is cracking."
   (A) "The buzz saw RACKING." The whole of this is the concept as is being attained by this entity. Well and good.
7. (Q) Voice: "Atlantic City."
   (A) Well that the entity take the opportunity soon to be offered to self and to one closely related, and spend one - two days there, see? for as is seen, there has arisen in the inmost self, that necessity in the giving of self to others, the necessity of in physical manner taking the opportunity, as given in next, to accede in a manner that a more perfect understanding may be attained in many manners.
8. (Q) Voice: "Take your opportunity."
   (A) Just as given. This will come in the next few days, see?
9. (Q) While reading the crucifixion of Christ in Bible. Voice gently: "[900]!"
   (A) The call to the inmost self of that more perfect understanding of sacrificial conditions, as is seen in this Life, for the Man is giving self that others may know the way of life, and as has been given, this entity, [900], truly, has the message to give to many, see? for again and again we find the voice calling, and as has been given, ever be ready to give the answer, "Here am I, Lord. USE ME!" for we find, as in days of old, in that same household of which this entity, physically, the stock, that the call to one was to service, in the awakening to the consciousness of giving self in the physical service, in becoming the prophet, the seer, the director of the people - Israel - in Samuel. See, the entity, then, PHYSICALLY, the direct descendant of this line, see?
10. (Q) Voice: "ATLANTIC GULF & WEST INDIES."
    (A) This again to the physical that stock in which the entity has and is risking much, and that has been given will be the channel through which much may be accumulated for the use of the projection of those forces being studied and attained and retained in the entity's inmost being. While we find this in its varying temperamental effects, as it were, showing the incline, decline, the reaction, the up and the down, this again, as is seen, representing then in this manner that same, as is seen again, that the Star as of old that led that Wise Men was to the confounding of many. Then in the actions in this, this would be the logical, plausible, even way in which to take this at this time: As the various conditions arise - as again has been given, "Be all things unto all men, that you may gain the more of His sake" - that is, in the day there is the small profits, take same, and in the days there are the changes, the divining forces as have given these directions in same will guide, for while the decline in this is apparent, yet as has often been the case in this, the high peaks will be reached in very few hours and days, see? so we will find that in this decline there may be made the same as is seen in the Life of Him who has brought this great message to the entity in the study of same. In those years and days of the great reception of peoples, there was the less real truth gained. In those days of adversity to self, the greater blessings were being given to the coming peoples. In the days of persecution the greater forces were being made manifest. In this action of this particular stock there may be seen this same action reflected as was seen in that Life, for we will find the entity in studying this will find that the movements of a day may be made more acceptable than attempting to hold same for long rise or long short, see?
11. (Q) Now in previous reading the voice said: "Atlantic Gulf" and at the same time I saw the outline of the face of Christ, together with what seemed to be a guiding star or light. This aspect was not set forth in the reading indicating my guidance by the Spiritual Force that may be physically expressed as Christ. Correct?
    (A) Correct, in so far as same co-relates with that as just given, as how same may be made applicable to those conditions existent with same.
12. (Q) Now the Voice again says: "Atlantic Gulf" while I am reading of the crucifixion of Christ. What is meant by the continual association of Christ - the Spirit and Atlantic Gulf?
    (A) As that given, that the action in same be applied to that Life from the conscientious viewpoint of the stock broker or dealer, or Stock Exchange point of view, see? for as is seen, and as has been given in co-relation with the various connections with same, while there has been given an advance and a falling off occurs, while there has been given advance, and the advance to a point and then falling off, again this, as is seen, the same in the application of the Christ life in individual when coming into contact and contamination with those elements of the earthly nature; yet, physical speaking, in this stock, and in the action of same, used in the day's transaction; that is, day by day, see? there may be made that for the propagation of those words, works and lessons, as has been given, for as has been seen in co-relation with that first given in dream forces as emblematical condition to those associated with specific portions of work (that has given the individual and entity many of the studies in this), again we see there represented those conditions as bring about physical effects that may assist, see?
13. (Q) Any co-relation with Mrs. [538] who first saw this stock in dream emblematically? [538-15 on 10/16/25]
    (A) As given.
14. (Q) But this stock is declining steadily - i.e. not holding any of its gains, in spite of the present strong market. It is, at the time of this writing, selling at 61, whereas as given the stock is going up to 80 or 90, this price to be reached about Dec. 15. That is only about a week off - will the advance come that suddenly?
    (A) Come very suddenly, as the advance and the decline comes steadily in the Life of which we have now been using as a physical concept of same, see?
15. (Q) Will the advance still come at the given time?
    (A) Advance or descent come, even as we have given here, see? Let's apply then this in the daily transactions, rather than in the waiting - waiting - see?
16. (Q) While reading of Christ's actual death the Voice in words that sounded as follows: "Gemouth! Gemouth! Gemouth!"
    (A) These, as we see, in the original Hebrew meaning: "[900]! [900]! [900]!" This again the call to the entity to that service - service - service. Keep, then, in that even keel and manner that will bring the more perfect understanding to self,and be ready ever to answer for the faith that lies within.
17. (Q) Felt as though someone tapped me on the shoulder - the distinct impression of someone right at my shoulder.
    (A) The ever presence of those forces as are being made manifest to the entity in each and every manner, that the entity may, not only in mental but in physical, feel that ever guiding force as is being made manifest to same, see?
18. (Q) Friday night, Dec. 4, or Saturday morning, Dec. 5. Saw our dining room and in particular my arm chair. The Voice seemed to be explaining how cause must imply effect - the only way to avoid disaster, unhappiness, sin in physical was proper direction of spiritual cause, which is in self. I didn't get the whole of this.
    (A) As is seen in this, as the presentation of the room, the place, the spirit force and the operations in same is as that implied and as is applied from the digest of that taken in the system at the dining table, see? for as the food, physically, enters the body and builds all those portions by its assimilation, by that well balanced system, when kept in the way that gives the perfect assimilating and eliminating. So in the mental that feeds or brings about the greater spiritual development, the entity in its studies, by the assimilation and eliminations in the various phases of the understanding, brings about those conditions as are made manifest. Knowing, then, all must be kept in that even keel regarding same.
