This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of March, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... St., ..., New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had here before. The dreams as are presented to the entity are as that as has been given. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Friday Night, March 12, or Saturday Morning, March 13, 1926. "Was in an automobile garage where many autos were being brought out - most of them Hudson's. Many were trying to get out of the garage but I couldn't get my car out of the crowd. I got into the elevator with a car and noticed it go up, stopping at each floor, and because of a poor stop, going on up to the next floor. Then it seemed each floor represented a ferry boat slip or route from down town N.Y. to up town ferries. Voice: 'Well to study each of these ferries.'"
   (A) In this there is presented the emblematical conditions as regarding the condition of the stock as has been paramount in the mind of the entity, and its interpretation and lesson is as this: The many various motors, cars, as are seen, representing the special activities in the near future (that is, from this day) in motors. The special or greater number being Hudson, showing the special activity, or the greater number of shares of Hudson Motors being exchanged or traded in. The many stops, the faulty elevator, showing the many various changes in the quotation. The faulty stop, the conditions presented, as has been given, regarding the attempted pools, and their failure, either to become a fact or partially so. The great rise, being the rise as will be seen in or near the time of the ferry openings; or, as is given again in the Voice, all should be studied; that is, the conditions regarding the rise and fall, in a spectacular manner almost, of these stocks (motor stocks), and especially Hudson, should be studied by entity, not only for profit to self in trading therein, but that the spirit, of animate and inanimate objects and things, may be better understood by the entity. That is, as the spirit of the Exchange is stock commodities, and that impelling spirit that creates or GIVES such an impetus to such stocks should be studied by the entity, that same may be better understood.
4. (Q) Does this mean Hudson will go up later in Spring when cars use the ferries, but after this drop in price?
   (A) Not literally as this, but rather as has been given.
5. (Q) How severe will the drop be and will it nullify constructive operations in this stock?
   (A) We do not find it being so.
6. (Q) "Overland automobile stock broke badly from what seemed 24 to 16. It seemed to hurt us financially very much."
   (A) This again the impression gained, as has been given, through subconscious and mental activities, correlating conditions one with another, of an individual stock in its activity, which, as we see, if or were it correlated with the numerical psychology, this will be seen as to that as a criterion of the Hudson prices, and the average of its relations, to hurt or injure, to the entity. That is, as 24 to 16 is to the price paid for the Hudson, and its present (at this time), as given, marketable value; for, as is seen, OVER land, see? meaning the name; as it applies, OVER LAND - over the whole outlook, or outlay, there comes that proportionate psychological condition.
7. (Q) Will Overland break this badly?
   (A) More as the condition as presented than as the activity OF the individual stock. As the entity should see, as these various conditions are presented to the entity, there should be carried in the mental forces of entity their correlation, physically, of conditions in which the entity is materially interested, and not taken LITERALLY until PRESENTED to entity as that ACTIVITY, see? That is, as may be illustrated from this condition as is presented: First, there is seen by the entity the rise and fall in elevator of many motors, and Hudson particularly. The entity interested directly in the price, rise and fall, of Hudson, see? and, as is seen, these indications are direct with the price, the conditions, as related to Hudson. In that as is seen regarding OVER land, this as an emblematic, and, as the condition or name presents, an OVER all, or over land look of the GENERAL conditions, see? for the entity does not find self interested directly - only as he may be from information as given, which does not refer to individual stock, but as an overlook of general conditions regarding motor stocks.
8. (Q) "Friends of ours came up from the South. They seemed friends of the bankers named Lehman. Something in relation to stocks going up. I also discussed Mrs. Levy's case of arterial sclerosis with them. 'When a blood vessel breaks you're finished - that is about all and that explains it,' I said. On reaching the house I beheld my mother and was surprised to find her feeling better, for she seemed sick. 'How are you, Ma?' I asked. 'I'm better,' she replied. I noted a peculiar looking person in bed. 'Looks bad,' I said. 'No, she is alright,' came the reply, but she looked peculiar to me."
   (A) This, as we see, still an emblematical condition as presented to the entity, through the activity of commodities, utilities, from the South. Cotton - affecting directly the stock conditions, producing, as is seen again, physically, the sick, or inactive, or retractory conditions in same, as is seen in seeing mother; yet there is seen, as this improves, or as the change comes, this again will react in a peculiar manner, as is seen by the view of the individual that apparently is peculiar - yet is alright. Same as is seen in the discussion of a condition as is seen in an individual representing those who come from that direction. This is as the correlation, then, of emblematical conditions, presented to the entity for a study; for in this is seen the general trend, the general action of the market from such conditions.
9. (Q) "At a party and someone drew a gun, pointing it at someone and me. I also drew a gun and the party fired at me, the bullet entering under my lower ribs to the left side. I fell over, but was not much frightened. They talked of getting readings. 'Better get a physical for me first,' I said. Then the doctor arrived and bandaged the wound. 'Guess it's the end?' I remarked to the doctor. 'We will have to operate,' said the doctor. 'That is the finish,' I said. 'I've seen many bullets removed successfully,' he said, 'You may live.' I felt the bullet in me and saw the blood through the bandage. They started to undress me - the doctor and the nurse. I took a sudden weak spell and grew frightened, and I overheard the nurse say: 'It looks like the end!' Then fright left me, for things and objects grew so dim to my sight, so vague to my weakened physical mind, that I no longer cared what happened. I was dying and felt the world fading from me, as a movie slowly fades out of sight."
   (A) In this there is again presented this in an EMBLEMATICAL condition as regarding conditions in and through which the entity is and has just passed, as regarding relations with individuals and with conditions on stock market exchange; for, as is seen, there has been point and point, as it were, at each individual, concerning given stocks, or in a general way and manner, and some have had their effects to the injury of the individual (this entity), and as the entity became scared, panicky, or felt that the great loss would BRING distraction and the end to the entity, the weakness is shown; and, as is seen, the call for this, that and the other for assistance, and that this is overheard, as is to happen, or might happen, these all show the effect, and, as is seen by the entity, the entity, the inner self, WITHOUT fear, finds the assistance; WITH fear, creates no resistance, and becomes SUBJECT to the conditions as are happening, but WITH the fear cast out, WITH the proper aid, there comes the knowledge that this is only as transitory in its activity, and the entity then should "buck up", as it were. Meet the conditions with that of the knowledge of self, as may be gained by the insight as is seen of the conditions, and meet them with the will to overcome, see? for, as is seen in those conditions as have been presented to the entity, in the seeing of many different stocks, their quotations, and their reference to quotations, and this has been in the entity's MIND as necessary to change, switch, jump about from one to another, and through this means bring recuperative forces to the entity. RATHER had the entity, than consider these as an individual means of escape, such as is seen in Fleischmann, Famous Players, in Kresge, in these various ones, study that as has been presented through those spiritual forces of the Father, in that "When I have given the way and manner, follow therein, and not jump about from one to the other." Then, use this as a study, as a way of bringing to the entity's consciousness that awakening of the conditions as are to be brought in the entity, in that, NOT in the tempest, not in the lightening, not in the great mountains, may the power be shown alone, but the greater comes in that STILL SMALL VOICE from within, that "My Spirit beareth witness with THY Spirit," and "Through me there is Life, and Light, and none shall be afraid."
