(Q) [
137] and I and family were taking a railroad train for
N.Y. Had tickets to Baltimore and were going to change
there. I thought we would get a through train and wanted to
change the tickets, and instead of going to Baltimore go
right straight through. I went up to the ticket seller and
asked for the fastest and best train to N.Y. "You can try
the Delaware and Lackawana or the N.Y. Central," he said. I
didn't care about the Lackawana, but I saw hanging up by the
wall a map of the N.Y. Central. It didn't seem that we would
get in in time for the opening of the Exchange. One of the
employees motioned to me and told me that he would tell me
what train to take. He showed me a time table. One train
left at 9:30 in the morning - the name of that train was the
American. I looked at my watch and said we couldn't get that
now - as it was already after that time - too late. Then he
pointed to the other side and another train that left at
night sometime - N.Y. Central train - Southwestern Limited,
but that would get us into N.Y. to late. Tickets through
to Baltimore.
(A) In this there is seen the correlation of the mental
forces of the entity as reasoning regarding the conditions or
the relative prices of the various rail stocks. As is seen,
many of those as were to be considered in the combination,
including those of the Lackawana and New York Central lines,
show that this time has passed for the gaining of the points
as were expected, while those of the B & O, C & O, are in
that position of now being ready for a change. Then, the
action as regarding these: Watch these two, especially, for
there are soon to be some great changes in the prices,
especially, of these two stocks. Not acting on that as seen,
but gaining information regarding these through the study of
those conditions as relating to these combinations, the
action and the activity of especially these two specific
stocks. Do that. Then acting in the way and manner that
these may be made as active forces for the benefit of the
entity. We are through for the present.
