(Q) Morning of April 26, 1927. I was driving an automobile
into Washington with [
136] and [
4167] in the car. I said
to [
4167], "They have one way streets here in Washington.
I'll have to go an unfamiliar way." Then we came to a R.R.
crossing and men waved green lights to me telling me to come
on. As I did so they signaled a R.R. train to come also and
we just avoided a disastrous collision. "You signaled me to
cross," I told the watchman. "Well, go right ahead. You'll
be alright, for the engine is behind you."
(A) In this there is presented to the entity for those
studies of the conditions as have been experienced by the
entity, this emblematical condition as respecting
individuals, places, incidents, information, signal,
action, and the like, that the entity - correlating the
various incidents of the past few weeks in respect to
information as given - will find that such is as pictured or
realized by the entity in the vision seen. Then, laying
this vision as seen before the entity, we find place
representing the head or the center of all activities as
related to the entity in physical way and manner -
individuals as seen associated with entity represent two
different characters of individuals (as groups - not as
individuals) with which the entity associated. Stocks and
bonds are seen in the indications of the one way streets and
the unfamiliarity of the entity as respecting same, and as
the entity sees, the information as is recognized by the
entity is given to one - not to another class of
individuals.
The incidents as happen following same are as the entity see
through experiences that as changing from one condition to
another presents as almost a catastrophe or accident in the
affairs of the individual as related to other individuals or
peoples. Then, in the light of these as are given, study -
study, that the entity may gain the better way and manner as
to apply information concerning given individuals, things,
peoples, places, or conditions IN the lives, action, or
understanding of individuals as pertains to things, stocks,
bonds, or other conditions, see?
(Q) Does this refer to Chrysler Motor stock and to rail
stocks?
(A) Refers rather to that that the entity may study as
respecting Chrysler and motor and rail stocks, and the
entity's information as has been attained by same concerning
same and the actions of the entity respecting same. Using
this, then, as a study, the entity may be able to apply self
better as concerning same.
(Q) What reference now to Chrysler?
(A) Rather that as has been given than to an individual
stock, see?
(Q) I seemed to be with some one sick to their stomach -
presumably [
136], altho I'm not sure. We went into a drug
store and got a combination of 3 ingredients, namely
bicarbonate of soda, essence of peppermint and a third I
can't remember. The sick individual drank this and I saw
it distinctly being drunk. Then, after drinking it and she
ran out to the street curb and vomited violently into the
street. "That won't hurt her," I said. "Rather will it
do her good - will clean her out and she needs that."
(A) This as an indication to the entity, in this way and
manner, of conditions as are being presented to the entity
as respecting individuals as the entity may assist in
directing that that should be applied to the body for the
improvement of same, see? and as the entity studies the
anatomical conditions, and as the entity studies the
application of the various things as may be seen, the entity
finds self capable, and with the ability, to apply those
things as are being gained by the entity to the betterment
of individuals, and to individuals such application must
come first, see?
(Q) We desired to get pullman train reservation back to N.Y.
from what seemed to be Norfolk. We could not get them -
except, as it seemed, on the same day of travel - but they
were hard to get. On my way to pullman office I met, in
a store of some kind, a girl of much beauty. Now I have
contacted this spirit entity before. I deliberately
discarded communication with her on a previous occasion and
the explanation of this was furnished in the next. This
seemed a direct lesson or experience of which I was warned
by Dr. Leipzig, for I do feel that many are finding
communica tion with me or seeking it from the Borderland,
particularly at times when I am concentrating on my writing
alone by myself. Then I see the flashes, intuitively feel
the present of many who want to express themselves about
that cosmic life of which I am writing. Sometimes
communications come thru, so many that I can't get them, yet
I keep right on writing and sometimes (for I now do not jump
in fear and drive these away) as once one came thru to me
while I was writing and said, "Much too much writing - very
much too much!" Meaning, of course, to many words - but
I'll prune it down. This particular contact that I now
relate, however, was of the kind that is earthbound by
sensuousness or desire, or the kind warned about by Dr.
Leipzig. I had been writing, studying - reading the Bible.
How had I felt myself open to communication with such, as
Dr. Leipzig warned against?
(A) In that the physical forces of the body were in that
way and manner of combating against the better forces in the
mental; that is, when the physical being so weakened by over
study and not sufficient of the physical action taken to
create the balance, then the body left open, see? for, as
has been given, consider the source of all such spirit
forces, for while they are of one source, yet the outcome or
the purpose in its seed are either good or bad, see? and
with the keeping of self in the accord physically and
mentally, the body responds the more perfectly - for, as is
seen, there is the vast difference in the body being
PHYSICALLY tired and the body being MENTALLY tired, and the
reactions of same are entirely different, but when there is
the proper coordination between the physical and the mental,
then the body acts or reacts in unison, see?
(Q) Was it that I was trying to explain just what such
sensuous conditions mean cosmically, in my writing?
(A) Rather in the manner as given, for in the keeping in the
at-oneness, or keeping in the balance, is the greater purpose
in self, see? While these may appear, do not get the idea or
censure self for such appearance. Rather be able to
discriminate and banish, and cling rather to that that is
good, see?
(Q) After awakening I studies this in relation to that given
by Leipzig and upon returning to sleep was told in Voice:
"Man made this Spirit."
(A) Meaning just as has been explained. Man's inactivity in
the physical and mental coordination - that is how man made,
see?
(Q) Meaning this spirit I contacted - and from what Leipzig
gave me I think I comprehend this a little, but should feel
something accomplished at least if that entity found a means
of benefiting in its development by contact with me - or
did it gain simply nothing?
(A) Being able to even give the banishment to the entity
that the entity contacted is giving aid to those seeking,
see?
(Q) Seemed to be this same entity, now talking to both [

and myself. I had the impression that the entity was trying
to be grateful and show it. It said: "Many have gone broke
by holding out too long."
(A) Meaning that many have stumbled OVER themselves for not
accepting or taking and understanding when presented, see?
for, as has been given in times past God has winked at man's
misunderstanding, but now calls that everyone should repent,
see? Apply just that as has been given, just the condition
as has been said, just the presentation and the attempt of
that presenting itself in its way and manner of giving the
expression of the help as has been given same.
(Q) Night of April 25, 1927. Voice or one of those about:
"Will end with the oils."
(A) Meaning as reference to stocks that the changes as come
about in the stock quotations will end with the oils - that
is, after the particular flurry as will occur in same there
will be the greater part of same settling down to uniformity,
see?
(Q) Meaning the market break will be concluded with a final
break in oils?
(A) Rather that after the flurry in these there will be the
more SETTLED condition in the market, see?
(Q) Every night at about the same time, while writing, I
hear a little squeaking noise. I have always thought it
only the ordinary noises about the house, yet it has happened
so regularly that I wonder if it has not to do with those
lights, shadows - surrounding entities seeking self
expression - to show that they are what I am writing about
and know themselves to be that and seek recognition of being
such. Correct.
(A) Correct, in the way and manner as is being presented
by the entity in respect to same.
(Q) Morning of April 27, 1927. My father appeared and was
talking confidentially and in low tones to my mother about
accounts that owed money as they owed him in his business in
his earthly life time. "To misrepresent self to them," he
said, "as being an employee of the firm instead of the boss
- that is the trouble. It is misrepresentation - making them
believe you are an employee and really being the proprietor.
You can rely upon their word - anything they say they will
do, they will do - depend upon it!"
(A) In this there is seen, in this emblematical way and
manner, that which brings to the entity that of the truth of
that being presented to the entity through those forces as
are seen from that position in which the father to the entity
occupies at the present time, and while these may be given
out in short lines, or in short manner of expression, or in
flashes, or in noise, or in the various forms and ways and
manners as are being presented, yet - as the entity is
warned, or as the entity is told here - the actuality and the
truth of these may be depended upon, even though they are as
of borrowed light, even though they are as of borrowed force,
even though they are of that owed, due, or in only a small
manner of their own force, yet these truths, these lessons,
these lights as are being shown the entity, are as of the
true light.
(Q) Who are these people or creditors?
(A) Those presenting themselves to the entity from time to
time through the various forces, as is seen in voice, in
sound, in act, in light, in that heard, in that felt. Not
of PHYSICAL creditors, but of that as is given to the entity
in the understanding of spiritual laws as applied to physical
living.
(Q) I was sitting high up and beheld a magazine with many
articles in it. (My father still there) At the end the
magazine had one of mine and in addition a picture of me with
a resume of my life. It called me a boy prodigy, claiming my
understanding to be that of a genius as was indicated by the
article. In the front of the magazine I saw my picture
again. I didn't particularly like it. It seemed boyish to
me and I thought little of my looks anyway. I was sending
out special deliveries to Cayce for readings and had a big
collection of them.
(A) In this there is seen that the entity under estimates
that as is being written or prepared by self, yet when
presented to others, through the various channels - books or
magazines - the greater portion of the peoples will acclaim
same as of the gifts from higher sources, than of the entity,
as is seen in looks or in that as may be presented from
printed looks of the individual itself, see? Study same.
(Q) As given, not to me the credit, but to God - the Rock
of Ages containing the wisdom thereof, that by His grace I
have gained access to and may be the manifestation of.
Correct indication?
(A) Correct indication - just as that as has been given,
see?
(Q) That which is the unknown manifesting power is the one
to be praised, not my own known present self that is that in
manifested form. Correct?
(A) Correct!
(Q) Yet the prestige shall come to balance the criticism -
correct?
(A) Correct.
(Q) Someone told [
136] that Missouri Kansas and Texas R.R.
stock would go up from 35 to 40 back to 37 and up again to
42. The stock is now about 47.
(A) (Interrupting) Again there is seen there is given to
the entity, as has been given aforetime, that when
information is received as concerning someone else, or
someone else telling someone, the entity is only to study
same, and apply that information obtained for self
concerning same, see?
(Q) (Continuing) [
136] told me that it must have been
an evil spirit that told her that. Then I came up from
a subway and purchasing a newspaper at the stand above I
contacted a tall, pale half drunken man of about 60 years.
"I hear you know something about me," he said. I shrank back
in fear. "You know something about me," he threatened,
raising his hands to strike me. I gained courage and
grabbing him by the legs upset him. I thought I may have
killed him or injured him and expected to be condemned
therefor. The Voice and I to-gether wondered where I would
find forgiveness. It said: "Who will forgive him?"
Meaning I thought me for having hurt him. Then the answer:
"I will," sayeth the Lord, and as I heard that "I will," I
heard the church bells ring and prayers.
(A) In this the entity sees many various conditions as are
being presented to the entity through the studies of those
conditions as are being viewed in stocks, as well as in the
actions of individuals towards men, and as the entity sees
the seeking to give aid and succor to others, and that
condemnation is thrown on the entity from others on account
of same, and that there comes to the entity that of the
incomprehensible position as may be occupied by that as is
brought about by same, there is seen that the Voice answers
from above, even that as "I will," will the message be given
to those who seek that way. See?
